Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. Hello, my name is Frodo or Fitzgerald! I’m a one year old happy energetic pup that’s listed as a Great Dane Mix. I’m overall pretty friendly with all. I am kennel trained and a great eater, which means I’m also fun to teach new tricks to! I would be best suited to go to a new home that has a schedule and lifestyle that I can be a huge part of. Since I’m young and full of energy I would do best in a fenced in yard or have the ability to have new activities I can be a part of like hiking or day trips to explore new places. I need solid leadership as sometimes I need to be a little recentered or refocused when I get over stimulated. Because of this, I would be best in a place without young children as I’m still a little uncoordinated from time to time and little kid energy is a bit confusing for me. Kids who are a little older and are interested in helping train me are definitely an exception. Basically from the get go I’m going to just need consistency throughout everyone in the household to help me learn the rules so I can settle in successfully. My current foster mom does in-home boarding at our house so I spend my days meeting new dogs and some new people, so I am pretty well socialized and very much thrive with all the constant stimulation. I do best meeting others outside my kennel in an open space, I tend to be submissive and take appropriate correction from dogs older than me, very well as I’m constantly learning ways to play with all different sizes and breeds. This handsome guy is Ocho, a 7-year-old American Bulldog/Boxer mix ready to find his forever home!Ocho is quite the catch as he is as low-maintenance as dogs come. It doesn't take much from his human(s), sometimes its just a smile, to make his stub of a tail wag and let you know he's enjoying life.Although he may look serious, this boy is a total goof and the sweetest of dogs. Ocho will make you smile daily, but especially when you come home or he sees someone he knows and jumps/dances with his legs straight to do the funniest of taps. He's a tank but surprisingly light on his feet!Ocho absolutely loves his people and when he knows you, he trusts you for life. He may take a moment to warm up but once he does, he'll be rolling over for belly rubs and snuggles with the biggest of smiles. He loves to sit next to you or against you when given a comfy spot to rest.Ocho would ideally like to be the only dog in the home, so he can keep all the attention for himself. While he currently lives with a dog and does well, when he meets new dogs he can be overly excited. He much prefers calm, confident female dogs. He loves the occasional short play with her and enjoys a good walk but doesn’t need one. He’d be down for a hike or time in the yard (his recall is great). He has also previously lived with cats but would need slow introductions and supervision to re-introduce him to felines.Ocho has a history of living with kids and reportedly did okay. Since coming into rescue, he's shown that he's not a fan. For this reason, it is best that Ocho finds a forever home that does not have children in the household and we recommend slow and supervised interactions when he encounters them in the future. Ocho isn't a big fan of chaos and would prefer a chill home to spend his best years.Besides his family, what Ocho loves most is a ball. He especially likes to chew on a ball, fetch a ball, or simply sleep on a ball. If a ball is around he'll be content. He is also into toys, especially squeakers.In new spaces Ocho can initially vocalize when left alone so shared walls are not recommended. Surly is a beautiful dog, she'll be three on April 29th. She's been a great dog and loves laying around cuddling with her younger brother Finnegan (also available). We rescued Surly from Save-a-Bull as a young puppy. She's always been a loving and affectionate dog who loves our young kids. Surly loves the snow and doesn't mind going on walks even when it's cold! She is very smart and knows commands like sit, shake a paw, lay-down, up, come, stay, etc. She is still young and will need additional training. We are looking for someone who loves big dogs and knows how to care for them properly. Surly is strong! You need to be in pretty good shape to walk her. The ideal owner is able to take both Surly and her brother Finn or at least has another larger dog at home for Surly to play with. Ideally you have experience with the breed as well.

Hi, my name is Phoenix. I am from Arkansas. Phoenix found himself with a shelter partner of ours after escaping a life of neglect. Rescued from poor living conditions, he's blossomed into one of the happiest, best-behaved dogs you could meet. Phoenix loves to play fetch and tug-of-war, is 100% house-trained, and gets along well with other dogs. With his striking brindle patches and mismatched eyes, he's ready to find a loving forever home where he can continue to thrive! From his foster: Phoenix is a lovable old soul with a goofball side. He is such a sweet boy and has been so well behaved the entire time we've been fostering him. He's fully house and crate trained. He did bark for a few minutes the first couple times he went in the crate but he's been perfectly fine from there on out. Phoenix has been very gentle with everyone he's been around including kids and our other dog. We leave him out at night and he just crashes wherever he wants and has never been destructive with anything in the house. He's a little on the husky side so we're working on some leash training to get a little exercise but the main thing this guy wants to do is cuddle up on the couch with you and take some naps. Hello! My name is Janet and my foster mom says I can brag a little bit. She says I am the best dog. I even overheard my human brother say “Janet is a keeper!” That made my heart so happy. I love love love being with my family. They do spoil me though. I get to sleep in the big bed with them and I am the best sleeper! I sleep all night like a good girl. I am used to the kennel while they’re at work but lately they’ve even started letting me have free roam while they are at work. My mom says I am doing wonderful. I just sleep or chew my toys while they are at work. I’ve never once have gotten into anything! I love my walks!! I go on 2 walks a day. My family says that I need to get better while walking because I am so strong. I was a stray when I was little, never lived in a home, so I just need more time to work on this. I would love a fence because I love to run around and sniff all the squirrels and rabbits. Please give me a chance. I promise you will love me forever!!Janet is heartworm positive and has completed her treatment. She is awaiting a negative test result which can take place 9 months after treatment per our vets recommendations. She is no longer needing to be on exercise restrictions. Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) MAX is the dog of the HOUR!!!! There isn't a better dog available. Max's life began dreadfully. In his short life of 1.5 years old, Max found himself without a home, had to have an extensive surgery on his hip due to an unknown injury, and has lived for months in a kennel in boarding at a vet clinic. He is completely vetted, up to date on vaccines, neutered, and is heartworm negative! He weighs approximately 45 to 50 pounds. Recently, Max landed the best foster home ever and is showing off his awesome personality! If you have other pets, he will love them!!! He gets along with cats, dogs, birds and even tortoises. He is very playful and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Max does like to be near his person and seems to have some separation anxiety. His favorite things are lying next to his person, playing with his Nylabone or squeaky toy, and romping and playing with a willing canine. He loves car rides and walks very well on a leash. He sits, shakes hands, and also knows other tricks. He is also very willing to learn more!! Max would excel in a home with another pet, and it would be awesome if he could be someone that works from home or could bring him to work. He has excellent house manners and does his business outside!

This gal and brothers were found on the side of the road. This is a wonderful group! They do not bark unless playing and just like to have a fun time! They are very friendly and get along with everyone. Yuki has a little spark in her from having to deal with her brothers all of the time. She is very sweet but can hold her own when needed. They will need all the basic puppy training with everything that comes with it. She is a wonderful pup who would make a great addition to any family. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.
