Story
Hello! My name is Janet and my foster mom says I can brag a little bit. She says I am the best dog. I even overheard my human brother say “Janet is a keeper!” That made my heart so happy. I love love love being with my family. They do spoil me though. I get to sleep in the big bed with them and I am the best sleeper! I sleep all night like a good girl. I am used to the kennel while they’re at work but lately they’ve even started letting me have free roam while they are at work. My mom says I am doing wonderful. I just sleep or chew my toys while they are at work. I’ve never once have gotten into anything! I love my walks!! I go on 2 walks a day. My family says that I need to get better while walking because I am so strong. I was a stray when I was little, never lived in a home, so I just need more time to work on this. I would love a fence because I love to run around and sniff all the squirrels and rabbits but it's not a necessity.Let's meet soon. I promise you will love me forever!!Janet is heartworm positive and has completed her treatment. She is awaiting a negative test result which can take place 9 months after treatment, in July, per our vets recommendations. She is no longer needing to be on exercise restrictions. Janet will also need continued use of monthly heartworm preventives going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi, my name is Jack! I came from Alabama. I sure do like Minnesota and the people here. I’m a bit shy and take a little time to warm up. I am a great boy, potty trained, and don’t mind being in the kennel. I like chew toys, don’t mind other dogs and cats. I could use another dog to live with that can show me some confidence. I have low energy and am generally quiet. I’ll want to be with you as much as possible. I’m going to be your buddy and with you all the time. Hope to see you soon!!Jack is heartworm positive and has completed his treatment. He is awaiting a negative test result which can take place 9 months after treatment, in June, per our vets recommendations. He is no longer needing to be on exercise restrictions. Story
My name is Alfred Wrinkleface McWoofins. I was an owner surrender who joined the Hospice program due to a grade 3 heart murmur and other concerns. I had a much needed heart surgery and am "graduating" the Hospice program to become adoptable. Please read my fospice mom's info about my needs. From his foster: Alfred Wrinkleface McWoofkins (or “Alfie” to his friends) is an 11 month old bully breed who is looking for his happily ever after! Alfie loves everything in life- people, dogs, toys, and snacks! While he has spurts of energy, he much prefers spending time inside somewhere comfy, especially if that means getting to spend time with his favorite people. His favorite toys include nylabones, a flirt pole, and anything he can chew on. He has grown up around dogs of all sizes and loves to play with everyone. Alfie was born with a few medical conditions that have been assessed. His most serious birth defect impacted his heart, causing pulmonic stenosis and aortic stenosis, where the valves leaving his heart are too narrow. He had heart surgery in November 2024 to address this, and while his heart isn’t “normal,” it is stable! This may mildly impact his lifespan, but he’s still expected to live a long and happy life. His heart may continue to experience changes over time, so routine heart exams with a cardiologist will be necessary. Alfie will need daily heart medication for the rest of his life (roughly $25/month), as well as a yearly exam and echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) with a cardiologist (roughly $750 per annual visit), in addition to a normal dog’s routine health care. Like many bully breeds, Alfie does have sensitive skin in the warmer months, but this was managed well last year. He is also brachycephalic (short nose), so he snorts and pants like a typical bully breed. Because of this, Alfie would prefer cooler environments to spending time in heat! He was also born with an umbilical hernia which has been surgically repaired. Because of his short stature, he does have some abnormal positioning of his back paw, which can cause irritation to the bottom of his paw. This can be managed with booties and reducing walking on hard surfaces. Despite his medical challenges, he doesn’t know he’s any different from other dogs. Alfie is the happiest, most loving dog you’ll ever meet!

Story
I need a temp foster from 3/24 - 4/2. Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help! Hello my name is Princess, I’m from Minnesota! From her foster: Princess is the sweetest old lady you’ll ever meet. Affectionately described as a low-riding, snorty, house hippo, this lovable senior girl is as charming as they come! Princess is a tail-wagging pro—her joy and affection are contagious. She’s a champion cuddler and will happily snuggle up for movie nights or lazy afternoons. At night, she’s a perfect angel, sleeping soundly in her crate. Princess is house-trained, though her “old lady bladder” means she appreciates a few extra potty breaks throughout the day. She’s a low-maintenance companion who simply wants to love and be loved. From the Vet: Princess came into rescue and needed to be evaluated for several medical concerns, but since then a plan has been determined for her long term care. Princess has had 1 surgery performed with TBB to address a few of her issues. As a short nosed bully breed she had a very difficult time breathing normally, so a soft palette resection was performed to improve her ability to breathe. She was also spayed and had a mass removed from her chest. The mass was found to be benign so no follow up is indicated for this. Routine monitoring of any other masses that may appear with a primary care vet would be recommended for her future adopters. Princess's eyes were also a concern for her, however she was stared on a eye ointment medication that has helped improve her dry eye symptoms and surgical intervention for her eyes is no longer recommended. An eye recheck in August 2025 would be recommended to her future adopters as part of her routine care post adoption. TBB will agree to cover her needed dental procedure (scheduling pending) along with 1 round of medications and 1 recheck as deemed necessary by TBB's medical team.

Story
Meet Ford, a remarkable Bulldog whose presence is as powerful and steadfast as a mighty river. Just like the characteristics of his breed, Ford embodies kindness and courage, showcasing a unique blend of friendliness and dignity. Now you may not see it by looking into his gorgeous brown eyes, but Ford has suffered in his short life.... he came to the rescue from the streets with a HORRIFIC hernia on his back end, near his rectum. He required two surgeries to correct the hernia and allow him to have a normal life again. He came through with SHINING colors ;) With his well-muscled frame and low-slung stature, Ford is the epitome of a true bruiser, but it's his iconic "sourmug" face that represents his unwavering courage and tenacity. Despite his robust appearance, Ford is a docile and loyal companion, adapting seamlessly to any environment, be it the bustling city or the serene countryside. With Ford by your side, you'll experience the unwavering devotion and unmistakable presence of a Bulldog, a breed that leaves an indelible mark on your heart. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome this incredible Bulldog into your life, as Ford's unique spirit will bring joy, love, and an unmistakable charm that only he can deliver. Some basic information about Ford; he is male, a Bulldog mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Ford is not great with other dogs (or cats or other critters) and would be best in a home with either only adults or older children and as a single dog. But his heart will fill your home with all the love you need!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
