Hi! I’m Tawny! I’m a sweetheart with a heart as big as my smile and an endless love for toys. My favorite thing in the world? Chewing on squeaky toys until I get that squeaker out—oh, it’s the best game ever! I’m also a total fetch fanatic. Toss me a ball or toy, and I’ll race after it with all the enthusiasm in the world, then trot back proudly, ready for round two (or ten!).I’ve been on my own little fitness journey too—working off some extra pounds with walks, playtime, and plenty of zoomies. I’m playful, affectionate, and always up for brightening your day with kisses, tail wags, and toy-time antics. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will keep you laughing, cheering, and tossing toys, I’m your girl.Let’s meet—I’ll bring the love and the squeakers, you bring the snacks.Love,TawnyPersonality: Affectionate, Athletic, Brave, Curious, Dignified, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Playful, SmartHouse-trained: YesGood with: kids, dogs, catsAPPLY TO MEET ME TODAY: https://rb.gy/wyue3iTawny~born~7/1/20_____Standard and Special Breed adoption fees includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please click on the link for more information:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org***PAAW’s Avocato Catfé is now open in Farmington Hills! She does best on carpet or high-traction floors and has the cutest bobbing motion when sniffing, eating, or drinking. 🏡 Best Home for Muffin: Minimal stairs Low to moderate traffic household No other pets Older children Muffin is a sweet, affectionate girl looking for a calm home where she can relax, cuddle, and be loved. Story
Good With Kids: No experience with kids yet Good With Other Dogs: Yes with slow intros Good With Cats: No Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes but not fond of it Walks Nicely On A Leash: Workin’ on it Knows Basic Commands: Workin’ on it Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: * Physical Fence: N/A Favorite Toy / Activity: Fetch. Has a favorite ball. Arrival story: It’s a long, sad story of bouncing around from place to place. We know there is a Georgie devotee out there, though! Approximate age / Weight: About 3 yrs old / 50 lbs. Personality: Meet Georgie, the 50-pound sweetheart with a perfectly placed brown eye patch and a heart that’s somehow stayed soft through every twist life has thrown at him. This gentle bully breed mix has been bounced around far more than any dog should be, but he’s still hopeful, still willing to trust, and still ready to love the person who finally loves him back. Georgie is a belly rub connoisseur and a champion fetch enthusiast—whether you toss his favorite ball, a beloved stuffy, or anything that squeaks (oh yes, he LOVES a good squeaker), he’s ready to play. When playtime winds down, you’ll find him happily nesting himself into a cozy pile of blankets like the comfort-loving little burrito he is. Around the house, Georgie has lovely manners and a wonderfully charming “woo-woo” alert bark that lets you know he takes his role as watch dog seriously—without being overly chatty about it. He’s easygoing about having his ears or paws handled, and he’s learning helpful cues like touch, find it, and come. He’s a bright boy who genuinely wants to get it right. *After everything he’s been through—rescue, shelter life, being a stray, and too many false starts—Georgie is understandably cautious. He’s finding his footing again and will need a patient family who gives him time, space, and consistency to fully settle in. Car rides aren’t his favorite yet, and he’ll benefit from some medical or behavioral support for that piece, but he tries so hard in every other way. New Home: What Georgie wants most is simple: a home where he’s safe, understood, and finally stays. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a tender spirit, a goofy side, and a heart looking for its forever match, Georgie just might be your guy. CONTACT: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139This poor little pup was found at just five weeks old on the streets of Detroit. A worker heard crying and went out to investigate, discovering sweet little Thunder all alone in the cold. Despite searching, no other puppies or mama could be found. Thunder was taken in by Last Day Dog Rescue and brought straight to the vet, where he received a clean bill of health. He is currently thriving in a foster home with two other dogs. While he enjoys playing with them, he’s also great at entertaining himself with toys. Thunder is a confident, well-adjusted puppy with a wonderful temperament. He received his first round of vaccinations at six weeks old and will be ready for adoption when he turns eight weeks old. Please remember that Thunder is a puppy. He is teething and loves to chew with his razor-sharp little teeth. He may nibble on hands and feet, which is normal puppy behavior. Families with young children should take this into consideration when applying. We are currently accepting adoption applications and can begin the meet-and-greet process. However, Thunder will not be ready to go to his forever home until January 28, 2026, when he is officially eight weeks old.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 18, 2026, 2:40 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Meet Meatball! Meatball is a 73-lb land hippo with a heart of gold and absolutely no concept of personal space. He is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he’s as close to his people as possible — ideally curled up in your lap, despite his very solid size. If you’re looking for a dog who truly wants to be part of everything you do, Meatball is your guy. He’s a big fan of routine and does great with a regular potty schedule. When he needs to go out, he’ll let you know by barking and then proudly escorting you to the door. Meatball loves walks, walks well on leash, and enjoys getting out to explore the neighborhood with his person. He already knows “sit” and is currently working on polishing up his “stay” and “touch.” He also takes his enrichment seriously — cardboard boxes beware, because shredding them is one of his favorite pastimes. Meatball adores people and greets everyone like an old friend. He is deeply bonded to his humans and can be sensitive when left alone, so he’s currently working through some separation anxiety with crate training and continued confidence-building. He’s making progress, but hallway noises can be tough for him, especially in an apartment setting, and he may bark when he hears unfamiliar sounds. A calmer or quieter home would help him thrive. A few things to know: Meatball is an enthusiastic food beggar, has a habit of eating his toys if given the chance, and yes — he is very gassy. Consider this part of his charm (and maybe invest in air freshener). Meatball is the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, lean into you for affection, and make you feel truly loved. If you’re ready for a big, cuddly, devoted companion who just wants to be near his people and keep learning, Meatball is ready to meet you! &#226&#128&#139 Click here to watch a video of Meatball.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
