A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4+ year old mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. I’m such a good boy and I have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire but neither do most of my friends. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Hello My name is venus I am just about to turn two years old. We know my mom was a full-blooded boxer and daddy was the traveling man. I was living with several brothers and sisters in a small kennel. The kind people at the rescue came and picked me up and I happy in my current foster home . I am good in the house and crate trained. If you want to play a little or just be couch potatoes , I am good with either. I ride in the car and am very good on a leash. I do best when playing with medium to large dogs, as all my current foster pals are medium or bigger. I have been waiting for some time now for my forever home. I may not be a cute puppy , but I am a solid friend that is through the puppy stages for sure! I am spayed, micro chipped up to date on all vaccinations.
