Story
Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Gus is the bestest Boxer mix we’ve ever seen 💙 He loves other dogs & all humans. Homes with tiny humans may not be the best fit as Gus has a lot of playful energy. He’s such a happy, goofy, bouncy sweetheart of a dog. He needs an active family & a fenced in yard would make their life so much easier. He’s happy to sit and look at you with those big, sad, brown eyes and get all the pets you can give, but he’ll probably jump for pure joy as soon as you stop. This dog has a lot of love to give & he gives it freely. Gus loves to ride in the car, play at the dog park, take long walks (he is very good on the leash), meet new people and dogs, and is good with cats. He also loves to splash in the lake. This guy is the real deal - an awesome companion!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Afina is a lovable pocket pittie who finds herself in a rescue shelter due to her owner's divorce. Despite the heartbreaking circumstances, she remains sweet and affectionate towards everyone she meets. However, she can also be quite stubborn at times, typical of her breed. Her stocky build gives her a strong and sturdy appearance, although she could benefit from losing a few pounds. One of Afina's favorite activities is going on walks, where she can explore her surroundings. She is also a well-behaved dog who is house-broken, making her the perfect addition to any loving home. Despite her current situation, Afina has so much love to give and is eagerly waiting for a new forever home where she can be showered with the love and attention she deserves. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. Meet Duke, your next best friend! He’s a cuddly and sweet American bully who just wants love all the time. Unfortunately his owner moved out of state and couldn’t take him and I don’t have the financial resources to continue his care. He’s a good boy that would be a good fit for any size family. He’s good with kids, other dogs, and cats. He’d love to meet you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ***Adoption Fee Sponsored*** Maya is a sweet, loving, goofy, blue and white, American Bulldog mix. She's friendly to everyone she meets. She is a sweet dog that's a huge cuddle bug.  She is very smart and understands many commands. Maya is a fan favorite of the extended family of her foster mom.  When her foster mom travels for work, the doggy nannies request to watch her. She loves to sit outside in the sun and go on walks with her people.  She would do best as the only dog in the home or with a male dog partner. She warms up best to calmer male dogs. She is a calm dog but enjoys running in the yard. Maya is currently being fostered in a country setting and doing very well. She enjoys walks in the woods and down the dirt roads.  Maya is house trained, and crate trained and does fine left loose in the house. She does have food allergies so eats a specific brand of food which is Blue Buffalo Basics.   Maya would be a great companion and family member. If you are interested in Maya, apply online to adopt her at Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Remy!  I hope you will take the time to read about me.  My owner needs to find me a new family because my human sibling is allergic to me and it makes living together very difficult for her.  They are sad and so am I, but we all want the best for each other, so...here I am! I am a young lady, 1 year old.  I did a stint in a doggie boot camp training program so I know some commands.  Of course I am potty trained - no proper lady isn't.  I love to run around my yard.  I really enjoy deer antlers.  They are fun to chew since toys don't stand a chance and I shred them in minutes.  I love human attention!  Overall, I am an energetic and playful good girl if I do say so myself.  But I do have a flaw [none of us is perfect!] I do like other canines, but I don't like them near me while eating out of my food bowl so my former owner fed me in my cage.  Also, I don't care for cats, so none in my new home please!  I am current on my vaccines and I am spayed.  And to top it off, I come with my crate, bed, food, leash and collar.  I am move in ready!   If you think we could be a great family together pleaase apply to adopt me. Love, Remy   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Nash is a big love bug! He loves to get petted and cuddle. He is still very much a pup so he is a bit mouthy but is working on his manners. His knows some basic commands like sit, wait, stay and high five. He is house broken and crate trained. He is very quite in his crate and really in general. Nash is not a big barker. He loves to run around the yard, play with his toys and chew bones. He doesn't chew things that don't belong to him. He is very eager to please and is a really happy boy.  We believe Nash would do best in a home with no small children because he is a strong mouthy pup that still needs to learn some manners. He will also need to be in a home without cats.Nash comes with a free training package and is also a candidate for our foster to adopt program. If you are interested in meeting, fostering or adopting please fill out an online application. Questions to cbrookszy@yahoo.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. November 4, 2024, 7:53 am

Story
Meet Cairo! He is one of the last puppies available from our Cities Litter. Cairo is an American Bulldog/Pitbull mix who was born early December 2023. He is ready to say bon voyage and find his forever family! Cairo is an all around great dog. His loving, playful demeanor makes him the ideal family dog. His happy place is outdoors with his dog or human friends. He also loves any toy he's allowed to have. He is goofy, silly, and full of energy, but also loves a good snuggle session on the couch. He really is just a big, mushy love bug who wants to give and get love from humans and dogs. He is smart and very food motivated, which makes training easier. He is potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night. He does well on a leash and is working on basic commands - knows "sit" and is close to knowing "crate" and "down". Cairo is kid and dog friendly, and would likely do well with cats with a proper introduction. Cairo will do well in most homes! He would love to have kids or another dog to play with, but would do well as an only dog in an active home. When applying, you are applying to meet ALL puppies in the litter. If you have an adult dog, they will accompany you during the meet and greet, and will help select the best match. Adoptions are based on connection and chemistry. Adoption is $325, which includes spay/neuter at our vet when age appropriate, vaccines to date of adoption, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Story
They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4+ year old mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. I’m such a good boy and I have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire but neither do most of my friends. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Foster peeps say it means I will get my forever home very soon! Maybe it’s yours! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Hello My name is venus I am just about to turn two years old. We know my mom was a full-blooded boxer and daddy was the traveling man. I was living with several brothers and sisters in a small kennel. The kind people at the rescue came and picked me up and I happy in my current foster home . I am good in the house and crate trained. If you want to play a little or just be couch potatoes , I am good with either. I ride in the car and am very good on a leash. I do best when playing with medium to large dogs, as all my current foster pals are medium or bigger. I have been waiting for some time now for my forever home. I may not be a cute puppy , but I am a solid friend that is through the puppy stages for sure! I am spayed, micro chipped up to date on all vaccinations. My adoption fee includes a health certificate to travel and the transport from Tennessee.
