Story
This is LuLu! She is 5 years old as of September. We rescued her 2 years ago. She loves people, kids, animals, car rides and sleeping!! Nothing seems to spook her, scare her or raise her temper besides the vacuum and loud thunder LOL She needs a loving home where she can be a couch potato! She is LAZY. But also someone to pet her and love her and show her some attention. She is also overweight!! We have managed it but she has zero exercise or fun at our house and has become depressed. She would be good in a home with small children or other animals or quiet and relaxed. She adapts very well but needs some kick in the butt. She is house trained, BUT my fiance got a job out of state and is gone for weeks and our older kids come week on week off she has become depressed with just me and my 2 year old who is special needs and takes all the attention. So she will use the bathroom overnight if you dont let her out. Not during the day. Shes sweet amd just wants love.❤️ (She is a micro bully)

Story
Meet Sugar, a courageous and resilient dog who has overcome incredible odds. Found starving and severely malnourished, Sugar's journey from the brink of death to a healthy, happy dog is nothing short of inspiring. This sweet girl has shown an amazing will to live and a heart full of love despite her rough start. Now recovered, Sugar is bursting with energy and enthusiasm for life. Her coat is shiny, her eyes bright, and her tail never stops wagging. Sugar adores human companionship and thrives on affection. Whether it's going for walks, playing with toys, or just snuggling up on the couch, she's always ready to be by your side. Sugar is looking for a forever home where she can be showered with love and attention. She's currently fostered with cats and dogs. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a dog who will love you unconditionally, Sugar is waiting to meet you! We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   November 7, 2024, 8:43 pm

Story
**Twinkie is in a foster home and not at the shelter** Hey there, I'm Twinkie! No, not the sweet treat, but I'm just as delightful. I'm playful, goofy, and curious. I might stumble around a bit, but that's just part of my charm. I have done fabulous with potty and crate training. I’ve even been left alone uncrated for about 3 hours with no issues too. My foster mom say she misses me too much to leave me any longer. I'm quite the chatterbox, always ready to share my thoughts. If you've had a long day, don't worry, you won’t have to say a word with me around. Everyday is an adventure with me. My foster mom says I am such a sponge taking so many new things in and I’m doing really great. I do enjoy car rides but I would love a little nudge to help me get into the car. My favorite game is playing fetch. Have two toys ready and we can keep the game going for a little while until it’s nap time. My foster mom says the cutest thing I do is chew/suck on my blankie. I tend to do that when I am tired or needing to self sooth. She says it reminds her of a toddler sucking his thumb. I really like other dogs a lot! When I am around other dogs I do tire out very fast and exhaustion sets in quickly. Honestly as much as I love them I think I would be best as the only dog in the household. I’m looking for a home that can provide me with stability and guidance as well as love and praise. A daily structured routine would be awesome for me so I’m not always guessing what will be next. I’m a creature of habit for sure! So I’m thinking everyone in the home should be teenagers or older so we can all establish our household routines together. I'm ready to fill your life with laughter and lots of tail wags. Adopt me and let's make our own fun-filled adventures together! Apply at k9stray.com and my friends at k9 will be in touch.
