Kimchi came to us when his owner went to prison. He was a very confused boy at first, but is now excited and fun! Kimchi loves toys! Stuffies, things with squeekers, chew bones, he loves them all! Kimchi would love an intimate household, with one or two people he could shower with love. He does well in his kennel, and loves yard time. Kimchi is pretty potty trained. Kimchi is available as a foster-to-adopt placement, and his adoption fee is also sponsored! Apply through our website: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

Story
Meet Lil! Lil is a 6-month-old American Bulldog/Pitbull mix. She is a bundle of joy with a heart full of adventure! Just like her cartoon twin, she absolutely loves the great outdoors - running, digging, finding bugs, and adding to her ever-growing stick collection. While she’s still a bit wary of water (that hose can be pretty scary!), she’s curious to see if a lake or river will be more her style. When she is out and about, she truly is the life of the party! She adores meeting new friends and loves giving kisses, radiating joy with every wag of her tail. Back at home, all she needs is a cozy lap and her favorite chew toy to keep her entertained for hours. Though Lil is deaf, that hasn’t slowed her down at all! She’s a motivated learner, especially when treats, peanut butter, or kibble are involved. She knows signed commands for “sit” and “no” and is currently working on “down” and “come.” Lil is crate trained and is mostly potty trained. Lil thrives best in a home with an adult dog who can guide her as she learns. Her independence, confidence, and spunky personality shine, but having a canine companion to help her navigate life is ideal. If you’re looking for a playful companion who’s ready to explore the world with you, Lil is eager to share her adventurous spirit and love! Adoption is $325 and includes spay/neuter at our vet when age appropriate, vaccines to date of adoption, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Are you ready to add a lil’ Rugrat to your crew? APPLY on our WEBSITE: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

Story
Meet Diamond and Onyx: Two Sisters Dumped On The Street! These two gorgeous girls were found wandering the streets, alone and in need of a safe place to call home. A compassionate neighbor noticed them and spent several days ensuring they were secure and cared for. Thanks to this kindness, Diamond and Onyx are now ready to embark on a new journey toward a loving family. Both girls are incredibly sweet. They need slow introductions to other canine friends but have the potential to get along well. They can be fostered or adopted together or separately, depending on what’s best for them and you. With a bit of patience and love, they’ll show you just how fun and loving they can be. Diamond and Onyx are looking for foster-to-adopt homes where they can feel safe and cherished. Your home could be the fresh start they desperately need. Whether you’re able to welcome both sisters or just one, you’ll be giving them the gift of a loving family. Adoption is $275 if adopted individually, or $500 for the pair-which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). Story
Let's talk about Ethel! Beautiful Ethel is a one of a kind personality. She is picky about her friends but when she likes you, she LOVES you, and she let's you know it. She will 100% steal your heart when she gently places her paw in your hand. If you put it down, she will just give it back and look at you with the most loving eyes you have ever seen. Then you know, you are her chosen friend for life. Ethel was found as a stray in horrible shape. She has clearly been through a lot but that in no way has stopped her from thriving and being the sweetest girl. Her glow up has made her almost unrecognizable to those that saw her when she first was found. Ethel is guessed to be around 3 years old. Ethel will need to be the only dog and we do not recommend small children for her forever family. Cats are unknown. She will need a loving home that adores her as much as we do. Patience and meeting her where she is at will be important as everything will be new, but she is so eager for her own family. Can that be you?

Story
Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Gus is the bestest Boxer mix we’ve ever seen 💙 He loves other dogs & all humans. Homes with tiny humans may not be the best fit as Gus has a lot of playful energy. He’s such a happy, goofy, bouncy sweetheart of a dog. He needs an active family & a fenced in yard would make their life so much easier. He’s happy to sit and look at you with those big, sad, brown eyes and get all the pets you can give, but he’ll probably jump for pure joy as soon as you stop. This dog has a lot of love to give & he gives it freely. Gus loves to ride in the car, play at the dog park, take long walks (he is very good on the leash), meet new people and dogs, and is good with cats. He also loves to splash in the lake. Story
Citrus was living alone in an abandoned house with no doors or windows. We trapped her, and she got very upset. Citrus was growling for many many days, and did not allow any handling. She finally came around to trust us, and is now a loving sweetheart. Citrus wants an understanding foster-to-adopt home, who wants to baby her. She is estimated to be 2-4 years old, and a mix between English Bulldog and Boxer. Citrus has a classic cautious and disapproving yet personable English Bulldog personality, and the silly play style of a Boxer. We are looking for a household without children for Citrus. Leashed walks are fine, she does not require a fenced in yard. Citrus has dog friends at the shelter - but incorporating her into a home dynamic with other dogs will take weeks. If you are up for it, we can discuss. We cover all needed vet care. The adoption fee is $275. Please apply through our website: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt
