Story
I`m in a Foster Home! To meet me, email my foster parent at Elliemadjedi@yahoo.com.Meet Swayze, the sweetest, most laid-back guy you’ll ever meet! He’s been settling into foster care like a pro—no signs of separation anxiety, just calm and content vibes all around. Swayze loves getting out and about for adventures, but he’s just as happy curling up with me for some snuggle time at home. This guy is chill through and through. I can handle his ears and tail without a care in the world—he`s relaxed and easygoing, showing no discomfort at all. We’ve been working on “sit” and “stay,” and he’s been doing great! On walks, Swayze stays close, doesn’t pull, and is totally uninterested in chasing squirrels. He’s just happy strolling along at a nice, steady pace.Swayze is the perfect mix of sweet, calm, and easygoing—an absolute joy to have around! Whoever is lucky enough to adopt him is in for a lifetime of love and good vibes!

Goldie is in a foster home! To meet her, email her foster caregivers at nhoffpauir@gmail.comGoldie is the sweetest dog and very easy to love. She`s potty trained and likes to sleep in which makes Foster Mama happy. She is somewhat crate trained and will happily chill in her crate with a Kong or some other long lasting treat, and has been good with short introductions to my cats. She LOVES to sniff her way around the neighborhood on low energy walks, though she does pull a bit on the leash to get to the best sniff spots. She thrives on attention and loves scratches and pets and sitting by or near you. She loves toys and will greet you with two or three that she wants to show off, but stuffies do not last long with her! :-)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Male, 4.5 years, 70 lbs. Personality: easygoing, outgoing, playful, loyal, energetic, affectionate, adventurous, mischievous, and adaptable. Rocco is the epitome of a love bug, always eager to join in on the fun whether it's playing in the yard or cuddling on the couch watching TV. His adaptable nature means he can match your energy level, whether you're seeking a playful companion or a laid-back snuggle buddy. While he enjoys his adventures in the back yard, he's equally content relaxing indoors, taking cues from his human companions. With his adventurous spirit and affectionate personality, Rocco will bring joy and laughter to his forever home. Rocco has shown himself to be a well-behaved and loving companion at home. He is still learning what to do with a ball, but delights the young children in his foster home by playing in the house and the yard. He's gentle with the kids and is more than happy to clean up any food they accidentally drop on the floor! Rocco has made great progress on house training, does well in his crate, and already knows the words "no," "sit," and "crate". He definitely shows a willingness to learn and grow. Rocco loves toys, especially chew toys, and they keep his mind stimulated throughout the day. Rocco is choosy with his canine friends and would do best as the only pet in your home, with a fenced yard big enough for him to run and play in. If you're ready for a loyal and energetic companion, Rocco just might be the match for you. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
