Sugar Moo is very outgoing and friendly with all humans, big and little. She is great on walks. Very sweet and takes treats very gently. She loves going for rides in the car and does a great job just sitting in her seat and looking out the window . She gets the occasional burst of energy and will run a few zoomies outside, but she prefers to lounge around inside with her family on the couch. Sugar Moo is a dominant female so she is best paired with a non-dominant dog. She would also do fantastic as an only dog. She knows all her basic obedience and loves to play!

Trixie is a chill couch potatoe of a girl. Was not reactive at all the the dogs at the event she recently attended. She would see them and be concentrated, and was easy to redirect...especially for a treat. Knows sit down and shake. Trixie rides well in the car and does great with getting a bath. This girl rewards your love and affections with lots of licks all over your face. She is not afraid to show her appreciation. Trixie was deemed a potentially dangerous dog (PDD) as a result of an incident that landed her in the Wichita Animal Shelter. To comply with PDD requirements, he must have an adopter or foster out of city limits.

Nikki is an amazing dog, she is so smart, loving and just absolutely adorable. She is currently in training to help with her reactivity towards strangers/visitors and is doing very good. Did we mention Nikki is uber smart? She knows Sit, Stay, Come, Shake, Down/Lay Down, Roll over....she will do just about anything for a treat. She is kennel trained, and walks great on a leash, but we tend to stay away from big crowds. We dont know if she is little kid friendly, but older kids that respect her space should be fine. Nikki loves high pitch baby talk. When meeting her for the first time it's best to act like you've been old friends and hand her a treat or two....or three! Her absolutely favorite game is Fetch. We have taught her to "Bring it" and "Drop It" because she has a hard time letting go of the ball. Nikki loves "Bye Bye" in the car. She rides perfect in the back seat. Nikki isn't an up in your face giving slobbery kisses kind of dog, however she loves to cuddle on the couch. She isn't a fan of thunderstorms, and will try and hide in a closet or under a bed. Like most dogs she's not a fan of vacuum cleaners, but does keep her distance when in use. She would do best in a home as an only dog with low traffic. Nikki doesn't need to be crated, but will need a safe space when having visitors she doesn't know.

Meet Pete! Pete would love to be someone's one and only fur baby. He loves to cuddle, watch TV, and supervise whatever activity his person is doing. He's a sweet couch potato and not overly active. Pete does enjoy a nice walk, but he can get testy around other dogs and unfamiliar humans. He'll co-exist with other dogs as long as they stay out of his personal space. Pete would do best in a quieter, less busy household. He is an excellent house guest and can sleep on the couch all day when people are gone without tearing anything up. He may struggle with some slight separation anxiety when he's building a new relationship, but he quickly settles into the routine and does well once settled. He's crate-trained and potty-trained. Meet Freckle! This darling girl was pulled from the shelter with a body condition score of 1/9 (the worst physical state a dog can be in prior to death from starvation). We don`t know what her history is, but we do know that it was horrific and that she absolutely deserves better. Despite being starved to the very brink of death, Freckle has had a sweet disposition from the moment she came to the shelter as a stray, and that sweet disposition has remained in her foster home and with all the humans she meets. Freckle currently weighs about 19 pounds and she needs to seriously pack on the pounds! She is on a supervised re-feeding schedule that includes meals 3x per day with a slow-feed bowl (Freckle has a voracious appetite). We suspect that in her previous life, she was forced to compete with other dogs for food and resources, and for that reason we are only introducing her to other dogs slowly and with an abundance of caution. It`s not Freckle`s fault, but she would likely do best in a home without other animals. She has not been cat-tested or kid-tested, but simply due to the unknowns, we would recommend an adopter without small children. All that said, we cannot emphasize enough that FRECKLE. LOVES. PEOPLE. She has never met a stranger, and she was even very pleasant with all the examinations, testing, and needles at the vet. She loves-loves-loves cuddle time and will curl up by your side or in your lap for snuggles any time of day. She also loves toys and will play fetch (though we are limiting playtime currently, due to not wanting to burn extra calories). Freckle is likely between one and two years old, and she is already housebroken with supervision and completely crate-trained. She`s a smart, intuitive little lady who will really connect with the right person who wants to make sure that her next home is safe, loving, and will keep her well-fed, warm, and cared for! Like most dogs, Freckle will benefit greatly in a home with structure and with an owner who will encourage continued behavioral training on basic obedience and socialization. The poor little lady was likely not appropriately socialized before coming to us, but she has a heart of gold and is ready to take on the world!
