First and foremost, Bones loves people! He ESPECIALLY loves all the scratches and cuddles they give him! Bones does have A LOT of puppy energy but is smart and eager to please, so would do great with some training. He is a big guy who can be jumpy and mouthy, so he may be best suited for families with older children. Though he has met small children and did great! He is working on potty training and can typically go about 6 hours without a bathroom break. On walks he notices other dogs and cats but doesn't pull or bark. BamBam was found as a stray in Speedway and brought to Speedway's animal control. During that time he did great with other dogs and humans in a controlled setting. He loves to play and knows some commands, like sit. He would do best in a home without other dogs at this time, as he compulsively likes to hump other animals, and doesn't listen to corrections from the other dog. While this behavior may go away with time (he was neutered on 8/20), it is currently an ongoing issue as of 8/23. BamBam needs a home with an experienced owner. He is also available for foster-to-adopt, and we are willing to provide a behaviorist to work through his compulsive humping, which also extends to objects. Our trainer's assessment is that a behaviorist who can prescribe behavior meds while we work through this issue could be helpful. We are also looking for a home with no kids at this time, as BamBam could easily knock over a child with his size. BamBam is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, dewormed, and on flea prevention. His adoption fee is $300. Big Mama came to us during a large hoarding case, where we took in 20+ animals. We called her Big Mama, as it was thought she was pregnant, and fed her as such. Turns out, she was NOT pregnant, and had to lose some weight. Over time she has been on a low calorie (supplemented with green beans) diet, exercise, and has lost a lot of weight! She is a stout, friendly, happy girl. She loves everyone, toys, walks, and being next to you. She also loves her crate! Is housetrained when she is able to go out often. Owners would have to stick to her diet and exercise to make her most comfortable.
