Story
Hi there, I’m Demi, a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix with a heart as big as my smile! If sweetness were a superpower, I’d be saving the world one cuddle at a time. I’m all about belly rubs, gentle kisses, and being by your side through thick and thin. Whether we’re lounging on the couch or taking a leisurely stroll, I’ll be your most loyal and loving companion. With my soft eyes and even softer heart, I’m just waiting for the perfect person to shower with love—could that be you?

Story
Buddy is a fantastic dog, there isn't anything more we were looking for when getting him. Problem is our kids have special needs and we really should have waited, it's 100% our fault he needs rehomed and we will miss him deeply. He's super playful and fun but also loves to cuddle, best of both worlds! He might be overly excited with new people or pets but he calms down rather quickly. Please feel free to ask any questions!

Story
Hiiii yall, I’m Warren! I came in with my big brother Prince. I was dropped off by someone as a stray, but the shelter ended up finding out that the people who dropped me off shared an address with who my brother was microchipped to! The staff offered free surrender fees for me, but unfortunately my owners kept saying they didn’t know who I was and that they found me! The shelter offered multiple opportunities to tell the truth because they just wanted to know my real name and age but sadly no one would comply. The shelter would much rather waive fees than have animals abandoned with no information. Please remember it is $500 citation for every animal that is dropped off as a stray and abandoned instead of surrendered. Please tell the truth. I was really scared here the first three days here and my real name would have helped me.The shelter has absolutely loved having me around. I finally came out of my shell and I am the SWEETEST boy! I absolutely love everyone. I get along with dogs and have been a great dog tester here. I get along with cats and have had no issues with Lobster the office cat. I would be a great dog for anyone who wants a cuddle buddy and a loyal companion. I’m a big boy but I’m a gentle giant. I really want a new owner who is going to love me and know that I am a lifetime commitment. I am potty trained and haven’t had an accident here. Please come meet me!!!

Story
Where, oh where, do we start with Wilson?! There is so much to say about him! Well, he is the coolest ol' man we've had the pleasure of meeting. Technically, yes, he is a senior dog but you should see him climb a flight of stairs! He's quite spry! We love how "well-balanced" he is because you get all the fun of being able to take him on walkies but also the low-maintenance aspect of a senior pup. Wilson loves the lowkey, leisurely, lazy lifestyle for the majority of his day. He's a pup with such a unique personality. Wilson loves to talk to you and is not shy when he wants you to pay attention to him. He loves to be doted on which is very easy to do because he's just that awesome. We would love to see Wilson go into a foster or foster-to-adopt home for about a month or so. He arrived with severe ear infections that need time to heal. He also is about 20ish pounds overweight, so we want to make sure he is losing weight healthily so he can be more comfortable. His ideal new home would be one where he can go for daily walks but otherwise is easy-going. That will be so good for him given that he is a senior and has some pounds to shed. However, we could see him wanting to join you on social outings, too! It would make Wilson happiest to be the center of your love and attention as the only dog in the home. We're still getting an idea what he thinks about kitty friends. Kiddos should be 9ish and older or so. He knows how to sit, stay, shake paws, and take treats gently. He is about nine-and-a-half years old and is neutered. To foster Wilson, please fill out the application on our website: www.michianapets.org/fostering. To foster-to-adopt him, come by MHS to meet him. He really is the best boy.
