Story
Meet Remy, a very special girl with a heart of gold! Remy came to Helping Paws through our friends at Animal Rescue Corps, surrendered with a story we may never fully know. Despite her past, Remy is the sweetest, most resilient lady who radiates joy every day.Remy faces some health challenges, including skin, eye, and ear issues. She receives regular care, including multiple baths each week and daily eye drops to help with her limited eyesight. She also visits an eye specialist, though her vision and hearing will never be fully restored. But don’t let that fool you—Remy’s spirit shines brightly, and she’s as tough as they come!Full of spunk and energy, Remy loves to run around, play with her favorite stuffed toys, and make everyone smile with her silliness. She’s also a champion couch potato and absolutely adores babies, making her the perfect cuddle buddy with a soft spot for little ones.If you’re looking to add a true sweetheart with a resilient spirit to your family, reach out to Helping Paws to meet Remy!D.O.B: 3-6-21

Story
HI I`m Junior! I`m like a big dog in a midsize body. With my short gravity base I can be a strong dog, but after a while I ease up pretty well on walks. I can be intimidating at first until I ok you but after that we`re all good. I am a confident dog and get along with most everyone. Let`s be real, how can you not like this face?

Story
This dog is named Lucky. His birthday is Jan 22, 2021. Unfortunately, we have to re home Lucky as he isn't getting along with our older dog (blue nose pit bull) which happens to be his Dad. He is crate trained for nights and loves his treats. Loves to cuddle. He does have allergies. He is potty trained.

Story
Meet Juice! Age: senior Weight: 70 pounds Good with: dogs-but I don't need another to be happy, kids-I love kids!, I'd do best without cats, I love horses! Housetrained: yes Crate trained: no Now let me tell you all the things about me! I'm a great big “snuggle bear", and like being close to my humans - either snoozing in the dog bed while my foster dad works at home or following them around doing horse chores or outside work. My humans make me happy! After being tied up, alone, for so long, I don't love to be separated from them, but I can stay home alone with my dog siblings for work days just fine. (I cuddle with them on the sofa) I'm good with other dogs, but sometimes I think they might want to steal my food from me, so I eat separately from others, though I'll sit and wait patiently in line for snack time with others. I take treats very gently. I am making up for lost play years & like to try to keep up with the young dogs here once in a while when they get the zoomies & I enjoy chewing on antlers and playing with big stuffed toys & take myself on walks around the big fenced in yard. But, mostly, I am a chill guy who loves naps. I am good at walking on a leash & harness & am very friendly meeting new people & new dogs. I'll jump up on the couch to watch tv with you in the evening, and when we go to bed I'll give you goodnight kisses before I curl up for the night at your feet. In the morning, I'm sure to always be the last one out of bed! I'm the opitime of 'Jack of all trades, master of none', as long as I'm with my humans, I'll always be happy! I'd love to find a family of my own that is dog savvy and will understand if I'm not comfortable with something right away, and that can give me time to adjust to a new environment. I am a sweet, sensitive guy, so change is hard on my big heart. But, once you are my people, I am as affectionate & obedient & loving as they come! Do you think you might be my perfect fit? *Juice is being fostered in Mount Horeb, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Meet Smush, the big-hearted bulldog mix with a personality as hefty as his size! This gentle giant is known for his larger-than-life presence and charming quirks. Smush's enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of him, and he can be a bit mouthy when he's overexcited, but it's all part of his endearing nature. He's not one for long walks; instead, he prefers the comfort of being by his owner's side or bustling around the house, playing with his beloved squishy toys. While Smush adores his human companions, he isn't the biggest fan of other animals. He thrives best as the only pet in the household, where he can soak up all the attention and affection. Currently, Smush is on a diet to shed a few pounds and improve his health. He would thrive in a home that can support his weight loss journey with regular activity and a balanced diet. With his lovable personality and steadfast loyalty, Smush is sure to bring warmth and joy to any home. Whether he's snuggled up on the couch or happily playing indoors, Smush's big heart and gentle spirit make him a cherished member of the family. Smush is an All-Star dog! My adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption! Their adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and they will go home with their very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get her off to a good start! To schedule an appointment to meet Smush, email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you! When I arrived at Anderson Humane from Aurora Animal Control, I tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs like me to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt me, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep me safe while I recover. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after my treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that I will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians. Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon!
