Story
Phoebe is a loving, two-year-old dog with a sweet and affectionate nature. She gets along well with other dogs and has never shown aggression. However, she does display dominant behaviors, so she would do best in a home without children or cats. Phoebe has spina bifida, which causes incontinence with both her bowel, urinary functions, and slightly mobility issues. As a result, she requires the use of diapers, frequent cleaning and monitoring her physical state. All her clothes, diapers and supplies will come with her. Unfortunately, due to my own health challenges, I have been struggling to care for her disability alongside my own, and it has reached a point where I can no longer provide her with the attention and care she deserves. It breaks my heart to part with her, but I am looking for a new home where Phoebe will receive the love, care, and attention she needs.

Story
Meet Oreo! Who doesn’t love an Oreo? Hello! My name is Oreo, and I’m an 11-month-old, 43-lb mix from Texas. Right now, I’m going through heartworm treatment, but I should be all set and ready to go by January! I’m a curious and lovable pup who enjoys people- and dog-watching from my foster’s windows. I’m very food-motivated and eager to please! While it may take me a moment to figure out what you’re asking, I’m always determined to get it right. I’m a bit shy around strangers at first, but once I warm up, I’m incredibly cuddly and love following my foster mom everywhere to see what she’s up to. My love language is definitely physical touch—I’ll be all over you for the best snuggles! In my foster home, I live with another dog, and I’m very interested in her. Before starting my heartworm treatment, we had so much fun playing chase and tag in the dog park! While I’m still working on leash manners (I tend to pull), I’m potty trained and crate trained. I sleep soundly in my crate at night with no accidents. I rarely bark, but when I do, it’s usually because I’m bored and looking for some attention. I haven’t been introduced to children or cats yet, so I’m not sure how I feel about them. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly companion who will shower you with love and affection, I might just be the perfect pup for you. Could I be your forever Oreo? Story
Meet Niko – Your New Best Friend! Hi, I’m Niko! I’m a 60-pound bully mix with a heart as big as my paws. Making friends is my specialty—I absolutely adore people and other dogs (cats, not so much, but hey, nobody’s perfect!). Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy or a snuggle partner, I’ve got you covered. I’m as active or as chill as you need me to be. Long walks? Count me in (I’m great on a leash)! Couch cuddles? Say no more. My foster family says I’m the best hugger they’ve ever met, and my big, goofy smiles make everyone’s day brighter. I’m potty-trained, and I’ve nailed commands like sit, stay, no, and potty outside. I also know my name really well and have amazing recall—even if a squirrel catches my eye, one call of my name and I’m right back at your side. I’m a survivor with a story. I was rescued from Texas by a local doggy daycare/boarding facility and brought here to find my forever home. Since then, I’ve been recovering like a champ from being neutered and treated for heartworms. My foster mom has been sneaking me back to her house a bunch though (shhh!), where I’ve been spoiled with love, belly rubs, and lots of time with her three other dogs. The vet staff adores me—they’ve even posted about me, and said I'm the “sweetest, silliest, most patient boy” and confessed they’re all a little in love with me (blushing!) I’m a big fan of toys and can keep myself entertained for hours. While my foster mom works in her office, I’m perfectly content chewing on a bone or playing with my favorite toys by her side. I love to play, especially with other bigger dogs I will probably do best with bigger dogs, because I am a moose 😂. Smaller animals, like cats, aren’t my vibe, so I’d do best in a home without them. I’m looking for my forever family—one that will cherish my sweet, calming presence and appreciate my hugs and snuggles as much as my foster family does. They keep saying how special I am, and while they’d love to keep me, I know there’s a perfect family out there waiting just for me. Could it be you? Story
Marshmallow followed a young boy home while riding his bicycle and stayed around a couple of days until they reached out and I agreed to find a place in animal control for him to stay while I was waiting on a couple of dogs to leave. Well, that didn’t happen and he came to my place after getting his vetting done. What a playful, sweet and loving dog he is. He sleeps all night in his kennel and willingly goes in for a treat. He enjoys playing with the small dogs (by small, I mean puppies/pups 40 lbs or less) and lets them take toys right out of his mouth while he is playing. He was very skinny when he came to me and has gained 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks. He enjoys a little run in the yard and then he is ready to come inside. You can tell he has had a rough, rough life, but that all changed the day he followed the young boy home. If you are looking for a family companion, don't pass your chance up to have Marshmallow join yours. Apply at www.k9ei.dog He is estimated to be 18 months old, house and crate trained, dog social, child approved, around 65lbs, neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives. He does have Heartworm Disease and has begun treatment. The rescue covers the cost of his treatment.
