Violet is the most joyful and lovable gal! She is SO happy to be alive and makes sure you know how grateful she is every second! Having a bad day? Violets smile will light up the WHOLE room. She is a cuddly girl that is happy to be around her person and will be happy to do anything with you! Want a chill day on the couch? Vi approves! Want to take a 3 hour hike? Vi also approves! She is a very adaptable gal! Violet is searching for her new bff! Could that be you? Violet is a smaller pittie mix, around 55lbs and is all muscle! She is a young dog but clearly has been bred multiple times. She has done great with other dogs her size or bigger with slow introductions. Violet is fully potty trained, leash trained, crate trained, and will happily nap in her crate if you need to leave her home while you go out. She is energetic and loves to play just as much as she loves to snuggle! Violet has some prey drive to small animals so no small dogs or cats. Because of how jumpy and mouthy she can get when she plays or gets excited, we believe she would do best and thrive in a home with kits 10+ only. She has been working on this with a trainer and has improved so so much! Violet has spent 6 weeks with a credible balanced trainer @boooshank (IG) and has made a lot of progress and learning to slow down and think before just acting, which is HUGE for her. She has struggled with being bale to control her impulses because of her prey drive but with working with @boooshank, she has been able to let the chickens be friends and not want to eat them when walking by! Whoever takes a chance on Violet gets a lot of AMAZING training perks from her trainer Lee! Violet comes with lifetime assistance from him, group classes for her whole life and 1:1 lessons, boarding options and priority swimming pool slots! Mr Lucky is estimated at over 10 years old. He came to CBR by luck and a hot mess on New Years eve. He had a large mass on his side, chronically infected ears and eyes plus what ened up being two, yes two, large tumors in his scrotum and what the vet believes are healed chemical burns all over his back and belly. All three masses have been removed as well as him being neutered. He also has meds for his eyes and ears, he doesn't like them but tolerates have the meds administered. Though he is a barker and despite everything life has thrown at him he is still a loving and affectionate dog. He pays almost no attention to the resident cat or goats. He may look at them or smell them but then waddles off to his next adventure. Which is normally laying on the couch chewing on a bone or rolling around on the dog bed/floor. He shows the resident dogs a little more attention with more intense smelling and given the opportunity has tried to dominate them by mounting them. He is easily redirected and happy to walk along side them on leash. He does well on leash everywhere and off leash in the yard. He will follow his people anywhere when he feels like it or barge into the bathroom looking for them if the door isn't closed all the way. Lucky isn't to fond of his crate yet but it's a work in progress. His ideal home is one where his person or people are home more than not and where he is able to lounge the day away without a crate.

Despite being in less than perfect shape, Dolly is loving and SUCH a wonderful little bulldog mix. Her foster says she’s sweet, sleeps in her crate, and hasn’t minded being around the resident cat. And she hasn’t had an accident in the house, either! Dolly is about 2 years old and weighs in at just over 25lbs, although she could benefit from adding some weight. Meet her and melt. English Bulldog Age: 2 yrs old Male, Neutered 33 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Otis was found as a stray and turned into the local shelter. He was pretty healthy, but had a condition called “cherry eye” in both eyes. Our vet attempted to fix both eyes - the success rate for this repair is about 50/50. One eye is healing nicely, the other may not be so lucky, time will tell. Cherry eye is mostly a cosmetic issue, and doesn’t affect their ability to see. English bulldogs in general often have LOTS of medical issues. The only other observable condition, so far, is a flea allergy. Otis had a lot of energy, a lot of humping and marking before he was neutered. Within a week following surgery, there was a big difference in his behavior. He is young and still energetic at times, but he is also very sweet and loves to cuddle. We pulled Otis at the same time we pulled another English Bulldog, a female named Courtney, from the same shelter. We thought that they may have come from the same home and were bonded. They do get along very well and probably bonded in a bulldog breed bonding sort of way. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. English Bulldog Age: 5-6 yrs old Female, Spayed 38 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Courtney was found as a stray and turned into the local shelter. She had an abscess on her paw that needed medical attention. Upon evaluation by our vet, it was observed that she also has dry eye syndrome, ectropion eyelids that turn in, but her corneas were in pretty good shape. There were also sutures still in place on her lower abdominal area. The incision was too small for a recent C-section and there were no other signs that she had been recently pregnant (although she has likely had puppies in the past). It could have been from a recent spay, but lab testing indicated that she was still intact. It is a mystery as to why the incision w/ sutures was there. Our vet spayed her and fixed her eyelids. She is on ointment and eye drops for the chronic dry eyes, but it is possible that this will correct itself over time. English bulldogs in general often have LOTS of medical issues. Courtney had some domination issues with the volunteers when she first came to us. After some consistent and stringent correction, that behavior considerably lessened, but she will need to be monitored when meeting strangers. Otherwise, she is very sweet and loves attention. We pulled Courtney at the same time we pulled another English Bulldog, a male named Otis, from the same shelter. We thought that they may have come from the same home and were bonded. They do get along very well and probably bonded in a bulldog breed bonding sort of way. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.
