Story
We are rehoming Poppy because she growled and snapped at our 1-year old daughter. Our daughter has not learned to be gentle with the dog yet, so it was not Poppy's fault, but we no longer feel 100% safe having her around our daughter. We believe her behavior can be trained, but with our 1-year old and another on the way, we don't have the time or money to give poppy the training and attention she needs. We adopted Poppy from a rescue. She is very friendly and almost 2 yrs old, so very energetic. She is also 65 pounds of pure muscle, so while she does good on walks, if she decides to chase something, you really have to brace yourself. She will enthusiastically love humans she knows, but takes some training to get to know new people. She will get anxious and bark if a stranger tries to pet her, but mostly avoids people/dogs on walks. She is not familiar with small children, so she needs extra supervision if children are around, running, screaming, etc. Poppy is house and crate trained.
