Thumb Thumb is chill old man, looking for a bed to snuggle on. He is content to just hang out, he doesn't ask for much. We don't know how he feels about cats or kids. He is housetrained, walks well on leash, and rides well in the car. Looking for an easygoing lovebug? Look no further! Interested in adopting? Visit our shelter during open hours and ask about Thumb Thumb A055201December 15, 2024, 3:18 pm

Story
Flower is an absolutely wonderful dog and it pains us to attempt finding her a new home but unfortunately, the other resident female and her don't get along. She really just wants all the love and attention! It is understandable though, given her past. :( We fostered Flower out of the Stockton Shelter where she was next on the euthanasia list. We found out that she had previously spent her whole life making puppies from a cage outside. We ended up adopting her as her previous owner was looking to take her back to that life! No way! Now, she is so happy and fun! She has been fully enjoying her new lease on life. She really does have a wonderful personality and we love her very much. She is so cute, quirky and happy! While she would love a home where she is the main gal, she has been very comfortable with larger male dogs (female dogs, small dogs and cats should be avoided). She gives the best cuddles, butt wiggles, does fantastic in the car and kids love her!

Story
OMG is she ever a cutie....Darling Nellie is ready to love and be loved! She is an adorable 4-year-old, 24 pound, black and white, micro Bully / French bulldog mix. Wait till you meet this special girl. She came to us with a prolapsed vagina and had to be hospitalized for several months. She is so excited to be feeling well! She loves to do zoomies and will entertain you with her antics. She is a foodie and loves healthy treats. She loves to have her belly scratched and will nudge your hand to keep you scratching! She may need leash training (she is better suited for stroller rides) and may need some house training. She is well worth it. She will fill your heart with joy! Please love slobbery kisses! This sensitive breed needs a breed savvy owner. Please provide your experience in your application. Please be a homeowner, with a securely fenced yard. Nellie has been spayed and is currently vaccinated and micro-chipped. Nellie is waiting for her FUREVER home. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Nova is the sweetest dog and gets along with kids, dogs, cats, pretty much anybody. There is not a mean bone in her body and all she wants to do is cuddle. However she is very needy and wants to be around you 24/7. Has a bit of seperation anxiety and does bark if you lock her outside for too long. She can jump a fence if she is motivated to do so. She does not dig or tear things up in the house, but she will eat any food that is left in reach. She is about 4 years old, potty trained, shots and vet visits are up to date. She is chipped and spayed. We love Nova and want her to only go to the correct loving home. We just unfortunately cannot give her the attention she wants and needs anymore with our school and work schedules and having a toddler. She loves to go to the dog park, go on walks, chase a ball and mostly cuddle. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
