Story
ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! BIGGEST LAP DOG WHO GIVES LOTS OF KISSES!! Columbus was found near Gville Walmart. He is a bigger boy at 62 lbs. He is truly tall, dark and handsome. He’s about 7 yrs old. He is showing signs that he is house trained. He does great on a leash. He loves the other dogs. He’s a big gentle guy. Once you start petting Columbus, he will paw at you in order to keep the pets coming. He loves to try to sit on a lap and be held. He gives lots of kisses. He is an absolute love bug. We noticed he has a hind leg injury or arthritis that will need to be addressed, clinic staff suspect hip dysplasia. This doesn’t slow him down. He walks just fine but when he wants to run, he will just pick up that hind foot and happily go about his adventure. He also has what looks like a cauliflower ear but the doctor said it’s scar tissue. It doesn’t appear to bother or hurt him. Columbus also tested positive for heartworms which is easily treated. A very special someone has donated the money to GAH to FULLY COVER his heartworm treatment! A shelter isn’t a good place to undergo treatment so finding this big guy a loving home is our priority. This big sweet lug has a lot of potentially good years to live with the right family who will provide for him. Please ask the clinic for more information at 256-582-3184. Come meet Columbus at Guntersville Animal Hospital, 1609 Henry St, Guntersville. Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30 and Sat 7:30-12. Adoption includes basic vaccines and his neuter. Please share!
