Story
Perdita's name means "lost", a baby found abandoned in the wilderness in Shakespeare's "A Winter's Tale". A worker heard two week old Perdita crying loudly underneath a building at a construction site, and brought her to us. Perdita has a healthy set of lungs, and saved herself, which we think is incredibly brave. She is a manx or bobtail, with the cutest little stump of a tail. At two weeks, she needed to be bottle-fed, and she always took one long, powerful suck from the bottle, and then it was time to roll over and play. Perdita is very curious (dare I say, nosy), and from a very young age, she pops her head up and looks around at everything in wonder. She's an excellent climber, loves to tussle with her tiny murder mittens, and also enjoys giving kisses. -Social -Playful -Sweet -Adorable -Litter box trained -Good with cats with an introduction She is the complete package! She is bonded with her adopted sissie, Portia, and will only be adopted in a pair with her. Given her personality, we believe she would do well with other cats, children, and cat-friendly dogs if allowed time for an introduction. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, and group testing for FIV and FeLV. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our adoption page for more information on our adoption process and to complete our adoption application. https://www.julietshouse.org/online-adoption-applications Please note: This kitten will only be adopted in a pair with Portia. This policy ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. *All in our program are assumed to be mixed breed as none have had genetic testing. They are designated based on characteristics observed and noted.

Story
Classic tabby boy .The great Catsby was born around June 2020.  He's a hot mess looking for a very special home Catsby likes dogs, and has been seen sharing a bed with one.  He's a little bit of a brat with other cats, so he might be best as an only.  He does love to play soccer with a jingle ball. Catsby has severe allergies and needs a home/family willing to go the extra mile with him.  A couple of his worst allergies are dust mites and storage mites, so he needs to eat only canned food (dry food and dry treats are often contaminated with storage mites).  He also requires meds twice a day, but he loves to eat so it's no problem to tuck pills in his canned food and he eats them right down.  A home with someone a little OCD about cleaning and with wood or vinyl floors would be best.  Email us with any questions or if you want clarification.  Catsby is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and has been treated with flea/tick preventive and wormed. He is perfect with the litter box and knows his name. He generally comes when called. He knows his room and goes there independently for naps and snacks.   He tested FeLV/FIV and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is sponsored.        More photos and video at  https://photos.app.goo.gl/QFqGCfjTMC1vWHM26 where you can see his progression from half naked and scabby to regrowing his fur.    November 1, 2024, 3:30 pm

Story
Orange American Bobtail mix .Timon (whose nickname is Tig) is a handsome orange tabby American Bobtail/Manx mix born about 8-18-21.  He has a stumpy bobtail.    Tig is a generally confident boy who loves kids (especially small girls), gets along well with other cats, and does well with small dogs.  He's high energy and loves to play.    He has not been fed table scraps ever, and does not associate that as food. He is toy trained, and will do nearly anything for the small mouse toys or soft balls that he can carry in his mouth and toss in the air. He understands most sentences and recognizes when he is being talked to and picks out words in conversations.   He loves to drink water from a fountain or sink.    He is up to date on vaccinations, and has been wormed and treated for fleas, is neutered, microchipped, and he tested negative for FIV, FeLV, and heartworms.  His adoption fee is $75.    More photos and video at  https://photos.app.goo.gl/8zYEBJ1ayC9ruUuK8             November 1, 2024, 3:30 pm
