My name is Duke, and I’m a young Alaskan Malamute with a heart as big as my paws. My journey started with a little hardship, but I’ve come so far, and I’m ready to share my playful, loving nature with someone special—maybe you! 🐶Personality🐶 I’m the kind of dog who makes friends wherever I go. Whether it’s a stranger or someone I’ve known for a while, I love to greet everyone with a wagging tail and a gentle nuzzle. My favorite way to show affection is to roll over and let you rub my belly—sometimes even on our very first meeting! Despite my size, I have a sweet, goofy charm that makes me hard to resist. People say I’m like the lovable class clown because I always manage to bring smiles to everyone around me. 🔋My Energy Level & Walks🚶 Exploring the outdoors is my favorite thing to do! Walks are a chance for me to stretch my legs and satisfy my curiosity. Sometimes, I get so excited about all the new smells and sights that I might pull on the leash a bit, but with a little guidance, I know I’ll get better. I’m also great in the car—I can hop in and out on my own and settle down quietly during the ride. Whether it’s a trip to the park or a weekend adventure, I’m always ready to go! 🏠Life at Home🛋️ At home, I’m a sweet and loving companion. I’m happy to use indoor pads or go outside for bathroom breaks, but I’ll count on you to keep my space tidy so I can avoid any accidental messes. I’m curious about everything, especially things on counters or shelves, so you might catch me sneaking a peek at what’s up there! I’m always up for mealtime and treats—it’s one of my favorite parts of the day. I’m polite when it comes to sharing food and toys, but I’m very enthusiastic about eating, so feeding time is always an exciting event for me! One of my quirks is that I like to talk in my own special way. Whether it’s a little howl to say hello when you come home or a playful “woof” to ask for attention, I just love expressing myself. ❤️My Ideal Home🏠 I dream of a home filled with love, activity, and understanding. Here’s what I’m hoping for in my forever family: • Active Lifestyle: I thrive with plenty of outdoor time, walks, and adventures. • Gentle Patience: I’m still learning the ropes, and with your guidance, I’ll be the best companion ever. • Companionship: I adore being around people and will happily keep you company wherever you go. 💌Last Message💌 If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, I might be the perfect fit for you. Let’s start this amazing journey together—I can’t wait to meet you! With love and tail wags, Duke 🐾 📺 Videos📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb0x-MWUe-0&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jxw2A9wUxhLxBOlewgf2iu-

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Miss SHELBY is a sweetheart with a big smile and a nonstop tail wag!  Based on her size, we expect she is a malamute and husky mix, bringing the best of both breeds.  She knows basic commands, "sit", "down" and "wait" but could use further training.  She is food motivated which will help when teaching her new commands and tricks.  SHELBY is good on the leash and will enjoy joining you on all of your outdoor adventures.  She is a  loving, playful, active girl who generally does well with other dogs once they have established who is boss in the house (hint: it's her!). SHELBY has food allergies that will require a special diet and lifetime of medication.  Therefore, she needs a family that can afford her medications, special food and has the time to administrator them. SHELBY would love for you to open up your home to her and she promises to not steal the couch...well, at least not the whole couch! SHELBY is currently being fostered by a loving family in Eastern Washington.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 11, 2024, 9:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.SUMMIT has a typical malamute personality.  Independent, smart, playful, and affectionate, but only when he wants to be. He is crate trained, however, if he's left in the crate, for what he considers is too long, he will find a way out.  A large fenced yard for him to run zoomies and burn energy would be ideal.  He also enjoys long daily walk where he can explore, but could use some practice on his leash training commands.  After the walk, he loves to cuddle and relax with his humans. SUMMIT gets very excited at seeing other dogs as he wants to play, but not all dogs appreciate his enthusiasm.  It may be best that he is in an only dog family.  Summit's furever family should have the time to spend with him and take him on many adventures.  Important - Please note.   This dog is being listed by WAMAL but is residing with its owner. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.HADES is a sweet and gentle boy who thrives on attention from his humans.   Don't let his looks fool you, he may look more like a cattle dog, but he has the personality of a Malamute! Recently HADES lived in an apartment, but he prefers the quiet country life and is not used to the loud city experiences.  He is Ok with several short walks each day, but a nice scenic walk or hike makes him very happy.  A car ride with the windows cracked is always a great way to start an adventure. HADES knows many commands.  Basic commands like "sit", "down" and "stay".  Loving commands "hug", "kiss" and "cuddle" and fun commands like "dance" and "go through" where he will run through your legs like a tunnel.  He has a large vocabulary that you will enjoy playing with him for hours. Despite his age, he still has a lot of puppy energy and does get along with large dogs.  He may be fine living with another dog, but also would be happy as the only dog in the house, so that he does not need to share his quality time with his human. HADES is currently living with a loving foster family.  He would love his future furever home to be a quiet, relaxing environment for him where he can play, share your bed and feel like he is your number 1 priority. Describing all of HADES great personality traits would take many pages.  If you are interested in learning more about him please contact WAMAL Adoptions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 18, 2024, 3:15 pm
