Story
Ren is a big, lovable boy with a heart just as large as he is! While he’s still getting used to the hustle and bustle of shelter life, you can already see glimpses of his true personality shining through. In a home environment, Ren is incredibly affectionate and thrives on being close to his people, soaking up attention and giving plenty of love in return. With a little patience and a calm space to settle in, he’s sure to blossom into the loyal, devoted companion he’s meant to be.When it’s time to play, Ren’s fun-loving side takes over! He absolutely loves a good game of tug-of-war and enjoys romping around the playyards with his dog friends, letting out all that happy energy. He would do best in a home that can give him the time to decompress and adjust at his own pace, while still providing opportunities for play and connection. Ren is ready to leave the shelter behind and find a place where he can truly feel at home—and share all the love he has to give.Ren is 1yr old, Male, Alaskan Malamute. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations and preventions. Come and visit Ren today!Ren is eligible for a 3-day trial adoption through our Foster First program. This program gives you and our pets time to ensure it`s a great match before finalizing the adoption. Story
Mordecai is a young Malamute that is very sweet and loving, but is indeed a puppy in a very large body. When he first came to us he had been mauled by two other dogs and he was battling mange. He has since recovered beautifully from all of that. His pictures here show some of that healing progress.  He is around 70 lbs currently, but may gain over the next year or so as he grows. Being so young and having had so little structure or boundaries in his life prior to coming to us, Mordecai does lack some impulse control and will need to build a bond and relationship with his new people in order to be his best self.  Mordecai is learning to sit patiently, but he is so highly food motivated sometimes he cannot contain himself. He would do best in a home without children or with older children that won't be easily knocked over as he doesn't manage his own large body well at times. He must be the only dog in the home.  With time and patience, Mordecai will make a great dog for someone looking for a companion or an adventure buddy.  Petfinder: If you are interested in adopting Mordecai, please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for his adoption profile and application.  ##1872709##

Story
Meet Koda! Your new fluffy BFF! Age: 3 years | Weight: 63 lbs Koda is a stunning husky/malamute mix who is ready to find her forever home! Unlike many huskies, she’s a low-maintenance girl, perfectly content with a short walk or some yard time before heading back inside to enjoy the AC. Koda is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is potty trained. She’s gentle, curious, and independent, making her an easy companion who doesn’t demand constant attention. That said, Koda will do best with structure and boundaries. She can be protective of her food, toys, and favorite spots, so she will need a confident adopter who understands how to manage resource guarding or is open and willing to learn. Feeding her in her crate and skipping couch privileges will help set her up for success. Because she can be protective of her things with other dogs and is a bit too interested in cats, she will do best as an only pet in the home. Koda is also a true beauty queen! With her gorgeous coat, she’ll need regular brushing to keep her looking and feeling her best. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys a calmer lifestyle, Koda may be your perfect match. She’s ready to share her love and personality with the right family! Apply to adopt Koda at: acesplacerescue.org/availabledogs Located in Denton, Texas
