Story
Meet Rascal! This sweet boy was found as a stray in Kentucky and recently pulled from an overcrowded shelter, where he was lucky to get clean water, food, and just 5 minutes of outside time each day. Now, thanks to Peace4Paws, Rascal is on his way to a much better life in New Jersey, and he can't wait to meet his forever family! Rascal is a 1-2-year-old, 45-50 pound male with a heart full of love. Original found as a stray, his Kentucky foster says he’s incredibly grateful to be out of the shelter and adores being showered with affection. In return, he’s eager to give all the love right back.  Rascal is dog friendly, and although he has not been kid tested yet, his affectionate nature shows that he’d be amazing.  Rascal was given a DNA test and found to have a mix of 13 different breeds.  Here are the top 5:  31 % Alaskan Malamute, 19% German Shepherd, 12% Labrador Retreiver, 7% English Shepherd and 7% Beagle. Rascal is now in NJ, up-to-date on vaccines and neutered. If you're ready to add this loving boy to your family, apply today at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application using a computer or laptop. Website: WoofWoofFosters.org Buddy is currently in Sweetwater, TN but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee! We use Rescue Riders Transport (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road! Rescue website: https://www.woofwooffosters.org/ Buddy was discovered covered in ticks (14 to be exact), emaciated, and matted by a Good Samaritan who searched for his owners to no avail. They got in contact with us and we made room for this special guy at our rescue! Buddy is DEAF but he doesn’t let that stop him!! He loves to use his nose to explore the world around him and still loves to talk to you like your typical husky/malamute mix. 🥰 He can also feel vibrations and this can be a good way to get his attention. Buddy currently lives in a dog run with a doggie door and access to a potty room. Buddy has done well with the 3 year old human on the property and every dog he’s met! He does like to use his nose and paws to greet and communicate with new dogs and humans, so if your dog doesn’t like other dogs in their space, Buddy may not be a good fit for your home. He takes correction from other dogs VERY well and he is all around a goofy, even tempered guy! One of our wonderful volunteers has been working with Buddy on learning hand signals and he is very smart! He knows ‘sit, come here’ and is learning other commands as well. He was cat tested and did great! Please contact us if you would like videos of this interaction! He weighs approximately 69 lbs but is a big boy and is expected to be around 90-100 at his ideal weight! The vet believes he is around 2-3 years old.
