Story
Koda. A big, fluffy teddy bear boy available through City of Raytown Animal Services! He's around 5 years old and is a Malamute mixed with rough collie. We do have his DNA results, so yes, this IS his breed mix. He is a big boy, but that means you get a big goofy, loving boy. Koda is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and knows basic commands. He will keep you laughing all day and warm at night. He gets along well with other dogs, doesn't seem to mind cats, and loves kids. He loves his sibling Max; they have grown up together, and while we would like to keep them together, we know it may not happen. They can be adopted separately. If you would like to meet Koda, call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

This gorgeous girl is full of energy and loves to play, making her a perfect match for an active home that enjoys adventure, walks, and fun training sessions. While Madonna can be a little nervous and head-shy with new people or unfamiliar situations at first, give her a little patience (and maybe a few treats), and you’ll quickly see her playful, affectionate side shine through.Madonna plays with other dogs with enthusiasm. She’s a rowdy, rambunctious playmate who enjoys running and bouncing with other dogs.

Story
Appa's Story Appa is a purebred malamute. He's almost 3 years old. He's a big dog, just shy of 100 pounds, and he has lots of energy and is a really strong puller, so we are thinking he'd do best in a home with older kids (due to his size and energy, he'd knock little ones over). We'll post more as we get to know him. Call 913.335.0788 for an appointment. Email fortleavenworthstrayfacility@gmail.com for an adoption application or apply online at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FLSF/Dog.
