Story
Hugh is a gentle giant who loves to play. He's a big loveable puppy who can't wait to have a family of his own! Hugh is looking for someone who can handle his size and we recommend a home without children or children over 12 since this big boy doesn't know his own size and could easily knock over smaller children. He is dog friendly and loves to play with his toys at his foster home. He is also crate trained and housetrained!November 13, 2024, 3:30 pm

Story
Shady is a gorgeous Alaskan Malamute, estimated to be 2-3 years old, weighing just 45 lbs (she is currently a bit underweight). Although young, Shady is calm, mild-mannered and attentive to commands. She’s very good with other dogs and loves people too. Shady walks nicely on a leash. She enjoys hanging out with her canine friends in the secure fully-fenced yard at her foster home. An ideal family for Shady is one with experience with the Alaskan Malamute breed and a full awareness of their temperament, as well as their care; regular grooming is a notable part of their care. And of course a solid vet history for past dogs is required. Shady is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting Shady and possibly adding her to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895 to obtain an adoption application. Note that BAARK is located in Barrington and adopts only local to the NW Suburbs of Chicago.

Story
Nova is a 6 year old red and white malamute that came in with Sequoia and Luna. Sequoia seems particularly bonded to her. While these three do very well with each other, they have displayed some dislike toward other dogs of both sexes, especially when they are together a pack. Nova is a very tall girl and presents herself as the reserved lady of the the three, putting up with their shenanigans and maintaining her dignity. Her clown comes out every so often. Sequoia is a 4 year old red and white malamute who is almost, but not quite as tall as Nova. Sequoia is the outgoing social butterfly and voice of the three and definitely has a goofy side. Story
Lucy came to IAMRA when her owners health and financial situation changed. Lucy is a big, beautiful, 8 year old red headed gal. She is very sweet, we are told she is good with *some* other dogs (so she is picky about her doggie friends) but never met a person she didn’t like. More as we get to know this pretty girl.
