Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team. Why Titian might be the one for you:Meet Titian! This handsome, one-eyed wonder is an active, intelligent dog who's ready to join you on any adventure, whether it's hiking or running. He's a sweet, gentle giant who loves sticking his head out the window on car rides! While Titian has shown some separation anxiety in his foster home, he reportedly settles down with time. He's been around other dogs without issue and, though he has been around young children, we recommend managing his sometimes excited and impulsive behavior using positive reinforcement training. He may only have one eye, but he's got two much love to give! Interested in adopting this adventure-loving pup? Contact us today!Message for details:Titian is available for adoption in a foster home. To adopt him , please email us at adoptoceanside@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 82.3 Age: 5yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
We recently had a fourth child who suddenly became allergic to our dogs & we did not realize it until he comes in close contact with our dogs. We have tried to post our dogs on Facebook pages for adoption but have been met with hateful comments and uninterested individuals. We have been trying to rehome our dog for nearly a year and do not want him to be put down, so we tried different ways in separating our pets from our kids but it has not been successful all the time. Tydus understands basic commands such as sit, wait, lay down, paw, heel & speak. He is a dominant dog & does well with other dogs but it can take some used to being around. He’s a lounging type of dog but does get worked up when someone’s at the door (great for letting you know someone’s there). He can be talkative and a crybaby when you leave the house and back for errands but for a few minutes. If you’re interested in meeting him, please reach out. Thank you!

Story
We adopted him from the SD Human Society in Dec 2021. We have provided so much love and care for him that sadly we are not able to keep up with his needs and care. He is a wonderful dog and gets a long with kids and small dogs. He is a Husky/malamute (It was noted Husky, but he looks more of a malamute). He loves to play catch (when he's not lazy); loves to escape if possible...loves to bark and talk to solicitors. Unfortunately with finance and my husband not being able to work due to a work injury then a car breaking down on us…we cannot afford. important notice: He just had an endoscopy to remove a fox tail.
