Sammy IS AVAILALBE (updated 03-07-2025).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Sammy, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22667&name=SammySammy was found wandering alone, wearing a black harness attached to a white leash. People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one ever responded. This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love nothing more than to help him find his forever family! Sammy loves to play with toys and with entertain himself or play with you!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.March 7, 2025, 4:39 pm

Story
#A5678949 Keanu is a playful, fun puppy with beautiful markings. He looks like an Akita mix, possibly with husky since he’s smaller than most Akitas. Racoon-like markings on his face are super cute!     - Tricolor markings, white with black and tan, gorgeous long fur - Affectionate boy loves scratches and getting lots of attention - About 7 months and 43 pounds - Needs basic training, should be quick to learn since he loves treats as a motivator - Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center with his mom, dad, and siblings, as owner surrenders on February 10 - Not yet neutered when we met him so a trust waiver will be required if that procedure has not been done by his adoption day   KEANU’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/k_A For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org Photo Credit@ jsumphotography    Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/    Use their unique ID NUMBER.
