Story
Meet Thor, a canine connoisseur of camaraderie and capers. This independent intellect is as sweet as a sugar-dusted donut and friendly as a tail-wagging welcome committee. Now, about his aversion to chickens... Let`s just say, Thor`s idea of `fetch` didn`t exactly align with Farmer Joe`s feathered friends. The result? A ruffled rooster, a doggedly determined Thor, and a lot of squawking! But don`t worry, Thor learned his lesson and is now a certified chicken-free zone. Adopt Thor, and you`ll gain a loyal friend who`s smart, sweet, and sure to keep you laughing!

Story
Ramsey is 67 pounds and very energetic. He would love to find his forever home.I lived with dogs in my previous home, and I may do well with a slow introduction.I find cats a little too interesting, so I would do best in a home with no cats.I don’t have a history with children but I may do well with them.If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

Story
Meet Lulu! A Loving 2-Year-Old Alaskan Malamute Looking for a Home Lulu is a gorgeous, friendly, and playful 2-year-old female Alaskan Malamute in need of a new home due to a housing issue. She loves people and gets excited to say hello—sometimes by jumping up, but only out of enthusiasm and a desire to play! Lulu is not aggressive or threatening, just a big, happy girl eager for attention. She has been a patient at PETCO Vet Clinic in Woodland, CA and Davis Veterinary Hospital. She has also lived with children and done well with them. If you’re interested in giving Lulu a loving home, please contact Paul at (916) 720-1966 or email castanonpaul76@gmail.com. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
I got Honey back in August of 2021’ as a rescue from the Stanislaus County Animal Shelter when she was 2 years old. My availability to take care of her has since gone down after starting a new job. She also does not get along with the other dog where I am currently living as she can be food aggressive at times. Honey is very playful, talkative, and loving. She loves people and other dogs and needs a new loving home. An ideal home would have no other dogs or only medium to large size dogs. She loves cats more than they love her because she likes to chase them. Shots are presently outdated as of early last week, but I will be getting her shots updated this weekend (3/15/25) in the hopes of rehoming her as soon as possible.
