Story
Nugget (A133087) is a 1-year-and-5-month-old AK Malamute who weighed 44.8 pounds on intake. 03/25/25 Nugget, previously known as Delilah, is back at the shelter and looking for her new home! Nugget was surrendered to the shelter with her sister and both are bundles of energy and love! Their prior owner felt they would do just fine in separate homes but also enjoy playing together! They were stated to do well with dogs, cats, but were said to be iffy when it came to livestock/chickens. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any and all new animals. Huskies are known for having a high prey drive so please keep that in mind. Both these ladies were said to be very well-mannered and LOVE the outdoors. Great adventure pups! These girls were said to enjoy car rides and to be kennel trained and housebroken! They also know quite a few commands like sit, spin, laydown, and off! They are looking for a home that can keep them both mentally and physically stimulated. They were known to jump fences, and to get into trash if unsupervised. They also have the husky talk down! They were said to do great with people of all ages including babies and children! Nugget was described as being calmer and a couch potato! If you have been looking for an adventure pup or two and live an active lifestyle, please consider adopting and give us a call! 12/13/23 Dellilah was returned to the shelter after a brief adoption due to no fault of her own. So she is still looking for that perfect fit! Dellilah is currently on medication for giardia causing her to have a soft stools but is already feeling so much better! If you are interested in meeting this pro cuddler, please let us know! 12/08/23 These sweet young ladies are Butters, Dellilah and Comet! These girls came to shelter after their previous owners were not able to rehome them on their own. These girls are malamute mixes, so we highly encourage doing some research on the breed prior to adopting. These girls are going to be big, in size and personality! They have had their animal tenders cracking up with their antics. Puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of time and attention. If you are up to the task and interested in meeting any of these little ladies, please give the shelter a call!April 1, 2025, 9:53 pm
