Story
Finnegan is a smart energetic dog looking for a family ready to continue his training.  As an Akita/German Shepherd mix, Finnegan is a working dog with a strong protective drive. He loves to be outside, playing and roughhousing with his canine friends.  Finnegan is looking for an active home where he can direct his energy toward mental and physical activities and exercise. He gets along well with both dogs and cats in his foster home, and would likely do well with older children.  If you have experience with working breeds like Akitas and are ready to guide Finnegan through consistent obedience training, he is ready to be a devoted pet who will love and protect you! Story
Hi! My name is Molly! I`m an Akita mix but think like a teddy bear. I came to the shelter as a stray with my friend Hershey. I came in first and didn`t do well by myself. I was sad and confused not knowing why Hershey didn`t come with. It didn`t take long though. Hershey likes to run and got away from our owner again. I was excited to see him and was back to my bouncing self. We need to go home to our new home together!Ask about us today!

Story
Meet Leo! Leo has been DNA tested and we know that he is a Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees/Mountain Cur mix. He has a beautiful soft golden coat with golden brown eyes. Leo is a very sweet boy who loves to be with his humans, but he is leery of men until he gets to know them. He does overcome this fear with the help of treats and patience. Next thing you know, he will be your best friend. At the shelter, Leo was known as the play yard rockstar because he gets along so well with other dogs. He knows several commands, such as "sit, "down, "shake, and "leave it". Leo will need a 6 foot privacy fenced backyard and a playful canine companion in his new home. Leo can't wait to meet you!

Story
Here's Yukon! He is a beautiful white husky with startling blue eyes who showed up as a stray in a rural area. His foster family already had three dogs, a foster dog, three cats, and five children, but they felt like they couldn't leave him out in the woods to freeze, starve, or be hit by a car. so they took him in. He is being well taken care of in his foster home but their 15-year-old dog doesn't like him, so he is mostly confined to a small area in the living room. As you can imagine, this is difficult for an active breed like a husky! Yukon is being very tolerant and patient in this situation but he would love someone to adopt him ASAP so he can run and play as much as he needs to. Yukon gets along well with other dogs. He is house-trained and sleeps in his kennel all night as long as a human sleeps in the same room with him. He loves chew toys and will chase a tennis ball and bring it back. He isn't used to walking on a leash but is learning quickly. He would be a great hiking companion for an active person. His appointment to be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped is coming up soon. Yukon is being fostered in the Huntsville, AL area. He can't wait to meet you!
