Story
Lily is a stunning 3-year-old, 63-pound Akita mix with striking blue eyes and a heart full of love. She has a calm, quiet temperament and loves following her foster mom around. This gentle girl is patient, sweet, and easygoing. She walks beautifully on a leash and waits for her walks to do her business. Lily is great with other dogs and kids. She got along great with the 2 cats in her foster home, but did not like the more affectionate cat in her adoptive home that didn’t work out. She loves going on adventures and spending time with her person, so she’d like someone home a lot.Lily is ready to find a forever home where she can be cherished for the amazing dog she is. Could Lily be the one for you?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
Some months ago my boyfriend found Maxie, he rescued him from an apartment complex, he was abandoned and living under bad circumstances. Since then we have been taking care and looking for the right place for him, but right now we are in the position where we can not keep him anymore, due to various circumstances, mainly because in the place we live at he is not longer accepted and we have been warned several times and we will be asked to leave out of this place soon if we do not attend this warnings. I hope someone could give a Maxie a home, he deserves it. He is loyal, protector and sweet boy, I´m sure you will love him once you get to meet him.

Story
The goodest boy, who has already been through so much. He falls in love fast. He looks smart, but is lowkey pretty dumb, but in a totally endearing way!! He's actually one of the best dogs I've ever met, and I would keep him, if I didn't already have a dog that is high key a demon and hates everyone except for me. He is high energy. Yards recommended, but active lifestyle would be good too!! He can totally be home and chill, but will need lots of training if he isn't going to be super active. He's been good by himself, but got bored with toys eventually and went for shoes and remotes. He's 2 and new to the place, so that normal, but just for the sake of being honest! Omg he's such a good dog. If you're looking for a sign. This is it! I literally cannot take him to the shelter. It would be such a disservice to how truly perfect he is. Owners told me they didn't want him anymore, as he had already been gone for awhile. Pshft. I guess. Their loss. YOUR WIN.

Story
I am newly married and moving out of state and I can’t take my precious Cocoa where I am going. Cocoa has been with me since 9/2017 and was a rescue pup. I cannot bear the thought of just leaving her at a shelter. She is sweet and attentive. She loves people and especially children. She deserves a really nice family. I cannot bear give her to a shelter that might kill her if she is not adopted. I live with my son and his family but the kids are too young to care for her as she is primarily an outside dog. My son and wife work long hours and have a busy life. Please reach out if you are interested- I promise you she is loving and sweet dog.

These pups are in Helotes, Texas too!

Story
Korra was rescued from the Dallas Animal Control Facility by our daughter, who after falling ill, could not take care of her. We brought her home to help with fostering while waiting to rehome. Korra is a good dog that loves to run and explore. She can jump over a 4’ fence so she will need a yard with plenty of space and higher fence line. She gets along well with other dogs, can walk on a leash, and loves to talk to you. She is about 3.5 years old. Her original name (from the shelter) was Nina.
