Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
Meet the energetic Rocket III. He’s a soon-to-be 2-year-old, 45-pound Akita Shepherd mix, with soft, chocolate-and-white fur and a heart-melting demeanor. Rocket was adopted from a local shelter when he was just 3 months old, and he’s been living his best life ever since! Rocket is a playful, very high-energy pup who loves to zoom around the yard or an open area. He also loves to chase after squirrels which he feels is a challenge since they are faster than him. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Rocket loves playtime and is always ready for a good walk or run, but he also knows how to relax. An ideal home for Rocket would be one with a big yard to run around in, or an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures. Rocket is crate and leash trained, and he’s currently working on learning “stay”. He’s a quick learner, especially when there are treats involved! Rocket absolutely loves car rides. This lovable pup is deserving of the perfect furever home.

Meet Nova Elizabeth! Nova is an approx 4 year spayed Husky female, HW negative, UTD on all vaccinations, flea and tick preventives and HW preventive. She will come with several months of both. Nova is a small, fine boned and very girly husky girl. Nova’s personality is loving and gentle. She offers cuddles and loves to sit or lay with you. She loves ear, chest and belly rubs. She will give kisses if allowed. Nova is not a barker or a howler. We have never heard her bark. The only sounds Nova makes is like a soft, quiet girly version of Chewbacca from Star Wars, recording available. Nova walks great on a leash. Gentle and not a puller. Raised with 4 little boys, 2 cats and 1 dog so great family pupper. Loves her toys and chews. Comes with EVERYTHING. Loves car rides, going to dog parks, walks, walking through stores that allow pets etc. She is a great canine family member needs gentle, loving humans! Has only ever known love! Story
Hello, my name is Wrangler! I am a 7 year old Husky mix that weighs approx. 46 lbs. I was surrendered to RAC due to my family no longer being able to care for me. I am a very sweet and very intelligent guy that would love to find a FURever home to call my own! I love a good walk or hike. If you're the adventurous type, then I am your guy. I know several basic commands like sit, shake, and down. I am house trained and crate trained and walk well on a leash. I do not like cats. I did previously share a home with another dog, however a meet and greet is always recommended if you have another dog in the home. If you are interested in making me part of your family, please submit and adoption application located here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 165 days as of 11/20/2024 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, and basic boosters. I did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I will be able to receive treatment at little to no cost to my adopter. Feel free to ask RAC staff if you have any questions over heartworms or my treatment.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. November 20, 2024, 4:56 pm
