Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
Hi there, I`m Milkshake! I`m an energetic guy who loves to play, but I also know when it`s time to mellow out. I`m friendly with everyone I meet, but I must confess, I`m not the best at making friends with other dogs. I`ve got some medical needs, but don`t let that scare you. I promise, with a little extra care, I can be your best friend. I may need a bit more attention than other dogs, but I promise to repay you with endless love and loyalty. Adopt me and let`s make wonderful memories together!

Story
Meet the fun-loving Kai. He is a 3-year-old, 65 lb. Husky with the cutest freckles on his face & front legs & the most stunning blue eyes! He is a friendly guy who loves to greet new friends & patrol the neighborhood for squirrels. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped & house trained. He has also recently learned how to use a doggie door! We adopted Kai from the shelter in Dec 2022. He had originally been a stray & adopted but was returned 4 months later. His previous owner reported he was stressed by children in the home. We have cats & his experience with them was unknown but his personality won us over & we decided to give him a chance. Unfortunately, after a year of trying to get them comfortable together he still gets too excited by our cats & we are concerned for their safety. Kai is a high energy pup who loves to play tug, chase frisbees & balls, go on long walks & run! He gets a little anxious when left alone & is very vocal about his emotions. He does resource guard food, toys and valued items so would likely do best as an only pet. An ideal home for Kai would be one with an experienced dog owner, secure fenced backyard (at least 6ft tall), no small children or cats & a parent that is home part or most of the day. Kai knows how to â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157, â&#194&#128&#194&#156layâ&#194&#128&#194&#157, & takes treats gently. He has made a lot of progress on leash walking & does best with a long line for more exploring opportunities! He is a very smart boy & like most huskies requires a bit more patience with training but if you have cheese, he is very eager to learn. He is working with a trainer & weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re excited to talk to you about tools for success. We can even recommend a trainer to help with any further goals you may have for him. This goofy pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Story
Meet Bergkamp, a 15-month old, 60-pound husky mix with tons of energy and tons of love to give! Bergkamp can be spotted quickly for his big ears (especially the left one that likes to stand at attention!) and his long, curly tail that he likes to wag during all of his favorite activitiesâ&#194&#128&#194&#148going on walks, wrestling with his dog friends, or showing off his ability to sit and stay. Bergkamp is a playful pup, but he also loves to find a bone and chew away for hours. With a walk and some snuggles heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll be happy all day. Bergkamp is up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies, and is neutered and microchipped. Bergkamp is highly trainable and loves to show you what he knows, especially if there is a treat involved! He is crate trained, house trained, and is working on his leash skills. He still is growing out of his puppy energy so he does well with someone who can take him on walks and let him run around and will help him remember what he can and cannot play with! He loves playing chase with the other dog in the household and loves to wake up and wrestle for a bit and run around the yard. He is great with kids (his recent home had a 2-year old and a 4-year old) and loves other dogs once heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been properly introduced. Bergkamp can be a bit skittish around some people but if he loves you he will shower you with attention! Bergkamp has participated in in-house and boarding training and takes to it very well. He knows: Spot, Sit, Stay, Touch, Leave It, Down, Shake, and is working on heel. Bergkamp is loving with the other dogs in the house once he gets to know them. The reason we are re-homing is because he is very afraid of my husband and has been since they first met. He is never aggressive but we havenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t been able to improve the fear (which results in barking, cowering, hiding behind me) and I know that he will be happier in a house where he doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t ever worry about being afraid. He has only shown this fear with my husband and my husbandâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s father, so I feel confident that he will be the perfect pet for another family since he is so wonderful with other dogs and with children and me! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Bergkamp, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet the friendly and energetic Bailey! He is a 4-year-old, 75 lb. Husky mix. Although he physically presents as a large dog, he behaves as if he is a cute little, lap dog. Our family adopted Bailey when he was 5 weeks old. Bailey is an energetic and friendly dog who loves attention. He has good relationships with other dogs but detests cats. Bailey likes to cuddle up with his humans and does not let his size dictate his displays of affection. An ideal home for Bailey would have a large, fenced yard, other dogs to socialize with, and no cats. Bailey is crate and house-trained and knows how to get in his kennel on command. He is fine with doggie daycare and with going to the groomers. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his Rabies vaccination. This friendly and energetic pup is deserving of the perfect forever home. Could it be with you?
