Story
Meet Saber! She is a gorgeous, shy Akita Mix around 1-2 yrs old. She does go out in a doggie play group and the other dogs really help her to come out of her shell. Saber walks great on leash but will immediately go to the ground in a lay down position if she feels scared. Saber could use a special adopter with patience that will help her to become a more confident dog. The Shelter staff is very fond of her and would love to see her go in a home to the right adopter. If you would like more info or to schedule a meet and greet, please contact the shelter at 662-393-5857. *All animals are spayed/neutered prior to being released to an approved

Story
Meet Jack Fostering in Tennessee Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 This handsome devil is Jack. Jack’s person was deployed, and no one would take his dogs and care for them while deployed. We were asked if we could take them and find them new homes. We said of course. Jack is a happy guy that loves life. He still likes to run in the yard and have a good time. He does like to play fetch, but sometimes choose to keep his toy instead of bringing it back. He is a lover and loves all the attention he can get. He doesn’t meet a stranger; our volunteer was able to get great pictures after just having met him. Jack is crate and house trained and has pretty good house manners. If you would like to add this older gentleman to your family, use the link below to apply. Has not been tested with infants and toddlers. ADOPTION INFORMATION: We are a foster-based animal rescue and we thank you for your interest in one of our animals. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible. If you are interested in fostering for our organization, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture.

Story
🎾 Meet Maze! 🎾 Maze is back at MAS, through no fault of his own, and is ready to find his perfect match! This handsome boy is bursting with love and energy and is ready to bring joy to your home: ✨ Energetic & Fun: Maze has lots of playful energy and loves a good game of fetch! He’s thrilled to chase a tennis ball and even brings it back for more fun. ✨ Smart & Trained: Maze knows how to sit, stay, and even go to bed on command—a superstar in the making! ✨ Affectionate Companion: He adores pets and scratches from his handlers and is always eager for some quality bonding time. ✨ Sensitive Tummy: Maze does best on Purina kibble, as Hill's Science Diet upsets his stomach. Maze’s previous foster described him as a very loving dog who will thrive with an active family that appreciates his zest for life and sweet personality. Ready to meet this fun-loving, ball-chasing sweetheart? Come visit him at MAS and see if Maze is the perfect fit for your family! 📩 Email MAS@memphistn.gov for more info or to set up a meet-and-greet. On 12/7/24 Maze met another dog. He was timid in his kennel and fled from me. I attempted to leash him and he was growling and snapping at the leash. I used calm repetitive persistence and was able to get him leashed. Once leashed, he readily came out of his kennel. Outside, he was friendly and social with a playful attitude. He was high energy and absolutely loved Pamila and they enjoyed lots of zoomies and play.
