Story
Meet Yuki! Yuki is a stunning 6-year-old Husky-Akita mix with a heart as big as his beautiful fluffy coat. This gentle boy is fantastic with kids, loves meeting new people, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s potty-trained, fully vetted, and ready to find his perfect forever home. Yuki’s ideal family will be someone who can provide the emotional support he craves. He has severe separation anxiety and struggles with being on his own, so he’s looking for a patient and understanding person who can help him work through it. In return, Yuki will be the most loyal and loving companion you could ever ask for. If you’re searching for a best friend to share your life with, Yuki is ready to be by your side. Could you be the one to give him the secure and loving home he deserves?

Story
Victress came to me 12/2023 after living with a senior disabled guardian who had no back yard. Upon adoption, Victress weighed 55 lbs, yet gained 36 lbs in one year of living with her guardian. She got no socialization, enrichment and became reactive and obese. I am happy to report she has been flourishing in my environment. I have four feline roommates and run a small daycare and boarding service emphasizing manners and socialization. She seems good with kids. Victress is super smart and I feel under the right care, she can flourish. I know she is ready to find a home to call her own. She is going on five, but she has energy for days. She LOVES to run. She does great on car trips and is crate trained. She would need to continue her socialization to encourage better behaviors. We call her the roller derby gal being she runs around with her elbows out when playing. Admittedly, I am not sure what her breed really is, but I do know she is beautiful, confident and independent.

Story
Nyny is from Chattanooga, TN. She is an amazing dog, but does have the classic husky issues. She’s the main character in the room, and when she was pets she leans on you until she gets them. She is very protective over food, towards all: cats, dogs, humans. She snarls as a warning, and does a husky yell when she feels her limit is being tested. We also have a toddler at home and feel that it is irresponsible to have Ny in the same house as a toddler. They have been in the same house for 3 years and we have had one accident where our toddler dropped a piece of cereal and went to grab it, Ny opened her mouth and swung, cutting the toddler on the hand with a tooth. This was over a year ago and the two are now very close. In fact, it’s their closeness that made me realize Ny needs a better home. I hope to find someone in Charleston, as she will always have a home with us should she not fit in after rehoming.
