Story
BEAR: THE AKITA  If interested contact Jonathan Evans 540-521-1944   This ancient Japanese breed has been venerated as family protectors and are famous for their dignity, loyalty and courage.Akitas are quiet, fastidious dogs.  Although wary of strangers,Akitas will gladly share their silly, affectionate side with family and friends. They thrive on human companionship. The large, independent-thinking Akita is hardwired for protecting those they love.  (AKC breed description)   Bear’s personality is true to his breed.  He is 4 years old and was very attached to his former family until unforeseen and difficult circumstances made it impossible for his welfare to stay in their home. I am his current foster and have owned Akitas for years.    Ideally, Bear would thrive with a family that has experience with breeds of his type and who have the time and patience to bring out the best in him.   Due to his size and weight, a home with older, responsible children would be preferred.  He likes cats and gets along with other non-dominant dogs. A fenced in yard where he can stretch his legs would be necessary and beneficial to his welfare.    He has been neutered, vaccinated, has a current negative heart worm test, and is on heartworm and flea preventative. There will be an adoption fee.  We are located in Statesville, NC.  Please contact me to get more information about Bear by texting me with your name and phone number.    Jonathan Evans 540-521-1944 ##2132233##

Story
Patches is 8 months old and is such a sweet boy who is dog and kid friendly. He is also house trained as well. Patches is just a happy go lucky boy. He has been waiting for over 6 months for his home. We pulled Hazel, Patches' mom, from Duplin County Animal Shelter last summer. Hazel was going to be euthanized at the shelter. Hazel ended up being pregnant when we pulled her and two of her pups are still left and one is Patches. We do not know what breed the father was, but Hazel is a Siberian Husky/Shepherd Mix.

Story
Meet Stevie, who comes from the Cabarrus County Animal Shelter after being found as a stray. Stevie is a blind 2-month-old, 16 lb., Siberian Husky. She is the most loving, sweetest, tail wagging, happy puppy ever!! She has had her first set of shots her well check and eye check from our vet. She is in great health, and we've learned from our vet that she does see shadows. Blind dogs adapt extremely fast. They also have heightened senses and learn boundaries, sounds, and are just as easily housebroken as sighted dogs. If you are interested in this beautiful little girl, please reach out to us for an adoption application.
