Story
I took Charming two months ago from a coworker who had said he was in an abusive situation. As far as I know he is 9 months old and full Husky though I haven’t had him dna tested. Unfortunately I am not able to give him everything he needs. He is untrained and I have been working with him but I work 13 hour shifts and can not give him the proper time he needs to be able to be trained. He is semi house trained but we have a lot of accidents. He is a bundle of joy and such a great dog with so much potential to be an amazing fit for a family. Unfortunately I don’t think I am going to be the perfect fit for him.

Story
Meet Grizzle Grizzle is a sweet Siberian Husky mix with a charming personality. He loves a slow morning of sleeping in as much as he loves a good afternoon on the boat, a car ride with his head out the window, snuggles on the couch, or learning a new trick. Personality & Behavior: Initially reserved, Grizzle has come out of his shell and is now a loving and affectionate companion. He responds well to treat-based training and has learned commands like "sit, "lay, "paw, and "off. Grizzle loves learning new tricks and being challenged. He would benefit from a family that can spend time training him. Grizzle loves adventure, whether it's hiking, a boat ride, a roadtrip, a run, or just a short afternoon walk. He is his best self when he gets to experience a sense of exploration often and would thrive with an active family who can keep him stimulated. Daily Life and Needs: Grizzle needs a secure, fenced yard because he will test the boundaries if given the chance, as most huskies do. Once he has realized there are no escape routes though, he usually settles down to enjoy basking in the sun and laying in the grass. Crate and Potty Training: Grizzle is your typical Husky, as in he likes to talk - occasionally. Grizzle will go in a crate with a treat, however, he does have crate and separation anxiety - when left alone, he tends to howl and bark. He does best when he's allowed to free roam, he is polite and generally minds his manners when we are gone. For these reasons, we think Grizzle would do best in a home with a strong fence where someone is around frequently. He's not well-suited for apartment living due to his vocal nature. Grizzle is house broken but seems to only have accidents when left in his crate, which could be anxiety induced and is why we allow him to free roam the house when we leave. Grizzle does a good job at letting us know when he needs to go to the bathroom and when he is not in a crate, he is great with not using the bathroom inside. Children and Other Animals: Grizzle has not been around children, so his behavior with them is unknown. He is good at communicating his boundaries though and based on his current demeanor, he might be best suited for a home with older children or no children at all, as he prefers not to be unexpectedly grabbed or touched. Grizzle is currently adjusting to living with goats and a cat. While he's shown a relaxed demeanor around them, he still requires careful supervision. He's curious about the cat but generally maintains a respectful distance. At this time it seems he is selective of the dogs he wants to be around - slow introductions are important to Grizzle. Grizzle is a sweet and gentle companion who is looking for a loving family that can provide him with the care and attention he needs. If you're ready to welcome a devoted friend into your home, Grizzle might be the perfect fit! To schedule a meetup with Grizzle you can text Lee at 336-298-6798

Story
Meet Snow Queen, a delightful ball of energy and affection! This playful pup has a personality that shines as bright as her name. Snow Queen is always ready for fun, whether it's tossing her favorite soft chew toys around or joining you for an adventure on a walk. She's energetic and loves to explore the world around her. While she walks mostly well on a leash, she might pull a bit if she catches an interesting scent-her nose knows how to lead the way! Snow Queen also rides well in the car, making her the perfect companion for your outings. In public, she's well-mannered but be sure to keep an eye on your food; Snow Queen has a keen eye for a tasty treat and would love to snag a bite! This smart girl is gentle and affectionate, always eager for cuddles and companionship. She shows signs of being housetrained, so she's well on her way to being the perfect housemate. If you're looking for a loving and energetic friend who will keep you on your toes and fill your life with joy, Snow Queen is waiting for you! Come meet her and let the fun begin! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
