Meet Molly - your soon-to-be furry best friend! If you're looking for a dog that has it all, you've come to the right place. Molly is friendly, playful, curious, funny, affectionate, smart, a bit shy, submissive and athletic! She's basically the ideal dog. Now, you may be wondering why such a perfect dog is up for adoption. Unfortunately, Molly's previous owners lost their home, and she lost her family :(. Molly does great with other dogs and she loves to play in water! She can be a bit reserved in New situations, but that doesn't last long! She knows sit and she is eager to learn more! Molly is hoping to find her forever home this time --- could it be yours? Meet Molly (formerly known as Miley)! Breed: akita/mix. Age: almost 4 years, approx birthdate 12/22/20. Weight: approx 50lbs. Training: crate, leash, and house trained. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes, she does great with other dogs. No cats. Good with adults/kids? Yes. She is a bit shy/reserved upon first meeting and in new situations, but that doesn't last long. Personality: timid/reserved at first, but she warms up to be playful and affectionate! She loves attention but she can also entertain herself. She loves toys. She loves belly rubs and when you stop, she will paw for more :). She loves to play in the kiddie pools during the summer. Reason for rescue: originally, Molly came into rescue as part of an accidental litter. She was adopted in 2021 and recently returned due to owners losing their home. Molly is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If interested in adding this sweet baby to your family, please message for an adoption application! Story
This is a COURTESY POST, so this dog is not at the Cornelius Animal Shelter. If you're interested in Keo, please contact his foster parent at 302-438-5766. Meet Keo! This big teddy bear is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. We believe Keo is around 3 or 4 years old. Our son started fostering him when his prior owner left the area and couldn’t take Keo with him, but he wasn’t an appropriate dog for a small apartment. When he first joined us, he was underweight and having gut issues. After much testing we discovered that Keo has a form of Addison's Disease, which is easily treated with a small dose of prednisone. His health is now excellent, and he’s at a good weight and is very happy! We’ve been fostering Keo for several months now, and he gets along very well with our 4 other dogs (both males and females). He loves to play, preferring to chase and be chased rather than retrieving balls or sticks. Keo loves taking walks and he likes to wade in the water down at the lake. He likes a comfy dog bed and will sleep on the floor right next to your bed if you let him. He doesn’t get on the furniture unless invited and is not a “counter surfer”. When Keo is excited, he vocalizes like a husky, but is otherwise a quiet dog – he doesn’t bark at other dogs or passers-by. As a larger black dog he looks imposing, but you can see the sweetness and focus in his beautiful blue eyes. Give Keo a chance, you won’t regret it! He deserves a great home.

Story
This pup ran up on me while I was working on a job site and hopped in my truck. I spent over a month trying to reunite her with her family with no luck. On the advice of animal control I kept her while I tried to re-home her. She is a very sweet girl. She needs some training but is surprisingly easy to deal with for a husky. She loves to play with kids and other dogs and loves to run outside. She's crate trained and potty trained. She's about 15-18 months old.
