Story
Hello, I`m Bruno, a senior Akita with a heart full of love. I`m a friendly chap, always ready to share a goofy joke or a funny antic. My loyalty knows no bounds, and I promise to be your most faithful companion. I`m a bit of an old soul, but that just means I`ve got plenty of wisdom to share. I love lazy afternoons, belly rubs, and the joy of companionship. I might be a senior, but my spirit is young. I`m full of life, love, and laughter. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, always ready to brighten your day with a wagging tail and a warm nuzzle. So, how about it? Will you give this old dog a new leash on life?

Story
Meet Gage, the resilient pup with a heart as big as his will to wag his tail! Gage hails from Memphis, TN, where he sadly endured a close-range gunshot wound to his back. Despite his past, Gage remains loving towards people, offering tail wags as a sign of his affection. Now in NJ after being discharged from the hospital, Gage is a friendly, energetic fellow in need of a secure, fenced-in yard where he can frolic and play. Gage's past as a stray remains a mystery, but his love for food has made training a breeze for this cheerful guy. Will you be the one to finally give Gage the loving home he deserves? Please go to our website at www.bigeastakitarescue.org and complete an online adoption application. Applicants should have breed knowledge.

Introducing Pina: Pina's story is one of resilience and love. She was once cherished by a devoted mom who nurtured her, but sadly, unexpected circumstance led her to needing a new home after her mom suddenly passed away. Despite the loss she endured, Pina remains a bright and affectionate soul, although she may need a bit of time to rebuild her trust. A well-behaved girl who is adept at basic commands, she's an excellent companion in the home. With patience and proper introduction, Pina could potentially thrive alongside a male large breed dog. Join Pina's journey and be the one to offer her the loving home she deserves. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook!
