Story
Hong Kong Fuey came to us from a breeding kennel who relinquished him by no fault of his own. He simply got too old for a pet store. This is an extremely sweet boy who is good with people & other dogs. He would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building because he is a puppy. He has never been in a home and everything is new to him. His birth date is 11/05/23 and he currently weighs 42#. This pet will not be adopted out for protection. We will require that he goes to an obedience course to make certain  he is socialized and a good community member. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. His adoption donation is $600 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card.  Any extra funds collected in his adoption donation not used for his vetting, will go into our general vetting fund for other dogs in need. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##2075050##

Story
Hi, my name is Gigi! I’m an Akita mix about 3 years old. I’m a very sweet girl and love to run, play, and stretch out in the sun. I really enjoy exploring my world through all its fantastic smells. Chasing small animals is always fun, so a fenced-in yard is a must to make sure I don’t get carried away. Slow introductions are best for me, as I can be a little timid with strangers, but once I’ve warmed up to you, I can be your best pal, whether playing outside or hanging around on the couch. If you give me belly rubs, I’ll be your friend forever! My foster brother and I have a great time playing with each other, and I get along with other dogs once I get to know them. I’m looking for a loving, patient family that can help me grow and build my confidence by gently introducing me to new environments and experiences. Can you be my forever home? *** We have no idea why she’s been waiting so long. She is obviously gorgeous and sweet! She is a careful girl but loves her people fiercely! She is more nervous around new men, but warms up fine as she looooooves her foster dad so much. She is an active girl and loves to run and play with other dogs. In fact, she tends to do best with other dogs around because they help her feel more confident and secure. This pretty girl needs nothing but a little patience and love. If interested in meeting Gigi, fill out an application today! https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
