Story
  Our precious Sophie is a castaway from an owner that has come upon hard times and cannot take care of her.  This sweet girl is obviously underweight from not having the food she needed and now at the shelter she is certainly not getting what she needs either.  Sophie at 4 years of age is needing to be spayed and we are needing a place for her to go after the spay.  She weighs only 28 pounds and we know she should probably be 38-40 lbs in reality.  She is currently in a hard core and small, dirty, shelter in Tennessee and we want her OUT and safe and fostered by someone who cares enough to help her get to her next step forever home.  The photographer that went to the shelter and took these pics, said she was so nice and sweet and very good with other dogs.  She has the look and total feel of a Husky girl that only wants to love you and to be loved right back by her humans.  She was easy going, gentle and friendly for pictures.  We feel that she was probably housebroken since was inside with previous owners.  Take a wonderful chance on a “wonderful” dog.  You won’t regret helping Sophie.    Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 5, 2024, 1:57 pm

Hi my name is Ace.  I am a 1 year old husky who weighs 45 lbs.  I have been through a lot in my short life.  Mr. Edgar rescued me as a puppy from a man who was not taking care of me and leaving we outside.  He could not keep me because his young son was very allergic to me so he contact Miss Vivienne for help.  She found me a great home but after 2 children and one on the way my mom and dad decided it was time for me to go back to Miss Vivienne.  She found me a wonderful foster home while I wait for my true forever family to find me.  Miss Jennifer is taking great care of me.  I get plenty of exercise and I love playing with her big dog.  We have the best time.  I did not know what I was missing and really prefer life with another dog.  I walk well on a leash after short walk where I pull you all over the place.  We are working on that and I am improving.  I adore other dogs and love going to doggie daycare.  I am smart too.  I am housebroken and I know several commands.  I am very treat motivated so training me with a morsel or two really helps.  I am happy here but ready to find my forever home.  I need an ACTIVE family and a fenced in yard is a MUST.  If you are a runner or a hiker then I am the companion you have been looking for.  My forever family must have husky experience.  I am neutered, current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Ace is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)July 5, 2024, 1:57 pm

  Meet Cobalt!   Cobalt is a stunning boy with deep blue eyes and a gorgeous bearlike coat of chocolate fur. His piercing eyes captivate everyone who meets him. He appears to be a Husky mix, possibly with Chow, but his exact breed combination remains a mystery.   Cobalt has been in a small-town shelter for over two months and urgently needs a helping hand to get out of his confined doggie jail cell. At approximately 2 years old and weighing around 40 pounds, he is looking for a loving home where he can thrive.This handsome boy will need clear guidance and training from a skilled dog person once he leaves the shelter. While he gets along well with other dogs, he is currently not neutered, which can present some issues in the play yard. Critter Cavalry Rescue is seeking a foster home or a permanent adopter who is willing to take Cobalt under their wing, provide training, and help him reach his full potential. We believe Cobalt will flourish once he is neutered and removed from the stressful shelter environment.
