Born: October 21, 2023 I'm 55lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $450 Meet Bingo! This sweet and loving dog is ready to bring joy to her forever home. Bingo is wonderful with people, dogs, and kids, but she would thrive best in a cat-free environment. She’s had fun at doggy daycare and got along great with her furry friends. Bingo is a smart girl who already knows commands like “sit” and “shake” and is eager to learn more. She’s making great progress with house training and is fully crate-trained. Whether she’s playing in the snow, snuggling on the couch, or enjoying her favorite toys, Bingo’s playful and affectionate nature shines. She’s also easygoing when it comes to baths, brushing, and walks on her leash. Bingo would make an incredible addition to any family. Start your New Year off right and check “find the perfect dog” off your resolutions list by welcoming Bingo into your home! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. Story
Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! For instance, I am a busy boy, I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Finnegan is a smart energetic dog looking for a family ready to continue his training.  As an Akita/German Shepherd mix, Finnegan is a working dog with a strong protective drive. He loves to be outside, playing and roughhousing with his canine friends.  Finnegan is looking for an active home where he can direct his energy toward mental and physical activities and exercise. He gets along well with both dogs and cats in his foster home, and would likely do well with older children.  If you have experience with working breeds like Akitas and are ready to guide Finnegan through consistent obedience training, he is ready to be a devoted pet who will love and protect you! Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Story
Thor is really playful and has lots of energy. He's fun and loving. He loves to go on walks and explore everything. Unfortunately he has bad separation anxiety and needs someone that will be with him and I work nights so when I leave he will bark and howl the whole night. He needs attention and someone willing to be patient with him because he has a lot of energy. He would be happy in a big backyard, ideally fenced because he can jump high and akitas are really good at escaping. All in all he needs a loving family that will give him his forever home.

These pups are in South Elgin, Illinois too!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hutchi is a beautiful husky mix with a sweet and gentle soul! She may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once she warms up, she’s an absolute sweetheart. In the house, she’s super calm and content to nap the day away, but the moment she steps outside, she comes to life! She loves going on walks, running around, and enjoying the fresh air. Hutchi is wonderful with kids and other dogs, making her a great fit for a family home. She’s currently working on her leash manners—she doesn’t pull hard but sometimes has her own ideas about which way to go! She already knows “sit” and “wait” and is learning not to rush through doors without permission. She’s eager to please and picks up on new things quickly. Hutchi is also crate-trained and will go in on her own, staying quietly settled inside. She’s mostly house-trained, with just a few accidents likely due to adjusting to a new environment. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who comes alive for outdoor adventures, Hutchi is the perfect match! When Hutchi arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Oklahoma, he tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm-positive dogs like Hutchi to be while undergoing treatment and recovery is with a loving forever family. If you choose to adopt Hutchi, the clinic staff will support you every step of the way, answering questions and offering guidance throughout the process. From detection to the final treatment, the process typically takes about three months and involves simple at-home steps to ensure his safety during recovery. The final step is a follow-up test six months after treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful, and the staff anticipates that Hutchi will make a full recovery! It’s also important to know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal through mosquitoes. With the right care and love, Hutchi will be back to his happy, healthy self in no time! For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
