Samoa is a stunning and spirited 1-year-old large male Akita with a heart as big as his paws! This sweet boy may come across as aloof when you first meet him, but give him a little time, and you’ll discover a playful and affectionate cuddlebug who loves to shower his people with love. Samoa thrives in a structured environment where he can bond deeply with his humans. He’s people-friendly, treat-motivated, and eager to learn—making training sessions both productive and fun. He’s mostly potty trained and does well crated at night, settling in comfortably for a good night’s sleep. While Samoa’s loyalty and protectiveness are part of what makes him special, they also mean he needs a home that understands his needs. He is dog-selective and reacts to other dogs, especially when he feels the need to protect his space or his people. For this reason, he’ll do best as the only pet in the home or with a compatible large dog companion after a careful introduction. Due to his high prey drive, Samoa is not suited for homes with cats, small dogs, or other small animals. When it’s just you and him, Samoa is the ultimate companion. He loves to play, snuggle, and show off his goofy side once he’s comfortable. He’s looking for an adopter who can offer him love, patience, and guidance as he continues to grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! For instance, I am a busy boy, I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Found as a stray, she was struggling to care for her own puppies and a few other newborns that had been left with her. Despite her tough start, Lily has shown nothing but sweetness and incredible maternal care.This gentle girl is wonderfully patient—she even allowed her temporary foster to give her a bath without any fuss! Lily knows how to walk on a leash and waits patiently for her walks to do her business, making her an easy companion.Lily is ready to leave her challenging past behind and find a forever home where she can be cherished for the amazing dog she is.
