Story
Koda is a fun loving Akita. He enjoys cuddles, treats, and running at the dog park. He is a big goofball ball. He knows some basic commands, is house-trained, kennel-trained, and is a quick learner, although he does get excited for his treats. He can be a talker. Lol He is a bit timid when meeting new people but warms up to you quickly. He hasn't been around a lot of other dogs. Sadly, I have to rehome him due to loss of income and moving out of state. He will come with a large wire crate, toys, leash/harness/collar, dog food, and bowls. Just want him to go to a good home that can give him love and attention and wants a good guard dog.

Story
Hello, I`m Bruno, a senior Akita with a heart full of love. I`m a friendly chap, always ready to share a goofy joke or a funny antic. My loyalty knows no bounds, and I promise to be your most faithful companion. I`m a bit of an old soul, but that just means I`ve got plenty of wisdom to share. I love lazy afternoons, belly rubs, and the joy of companionship. I might be a senior, but my spirit is young. I`m full of life, love, and laughter. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, always ready to brighten your day with a wagging tail and a warm nuzzle. So, how about it? Will you give this old dog a new leash on life?

Story
Raven is a beautiful Akita who is 2 years old. We have had her since she was 9 months old. Raven is very goofy, and loving once she has warmed up. We are in the difficult position where we do need to find her a new home. While very well behaved by herself she has been aggressive towards our other dog even though they have been together for a year. She has also shown possessive behaviors when it comes to me (adult female) where she will try to keep my children away from me. She has never bit anyone but has made attempts to nip at the kids. She has been showing a lot of anxiety with kids and we feel it is best for her to go to a home where she will not be around other pets or children. She is decently behaved on a leash, some pulling initially but will then walk nicely after 10 min. She is low energy and loves to lay by my feet. She is crate trained and will go lay in her crate when she wants space. She really is an amazing dog, I just wish we were able to keep her.

Story
Skipjack is a delightful and stunning 2-year-old Akita mix currently in a foster home. Skipjack loves adventure and he would thrive with an active person or family. In his home there aren't children, but they do visit! He does well with an 8 and 13 year old but may be a little too bouncy for small children. Initially shy, Skipjack reveals his goofy and affectionate nature once he warms up. He loves belly rubs and can’t get enough of the water, often splashing around in the dog pool. He does have a bit of a prey drive and might get distracted by rabbits or squirrels on walks, but he generally walks well on a leash. He would also prefer a home without cats. Skipjack is a sweetheart, responding well to direction and training, but he will need a committed owner to continue his training. He hasn’t had any accidents in his designated space and he is crate trained. He is generally well behaved, he is working on his excitement when meeting new people! Skipjack is a lovable, high-energy dog who would be a great companion for an active individual or family willing to continue his training and provide him with the attention he needs. You must be over 21 and a home owner to adopt me. Please visit www.pittiesandpurrs.org to fill out an application. For further information contact adoptpitties@gmail.com
