Her original owner was a woman fighting uterine cancer, which later spread to her lungs. Due to her illness, she was no longer able to care for Candy. We ended up in a shelter, but after two months with no adoption offers, she was at risk of being euthanized. She was rescued just in time, and now she’s looking for a loving family who will offer her a safe and caring forever home. Candy is a sweet, loving dog who deserves a second chance. This young guy is super fun and a total looker. He’s an athlete for sure….. he just may not know the rules of the game….. but he’s super up to learn! He is really friendly and eager to play, but also just loves getting attention (treats are good too) and knowing what was going on. He seems to be an Akita mix and definitely has that Akita attentiveness. He’s a nice mid size (much smaller than a standard Akita) and has a medium level of fluff. He will need regular brushing to maintain that fluff, and regular exercise to manage his play level. In return, he will be your absolute bestie forever! You will never have a better bestie than him! You also will have a dog photo for any occasion at the ready on your camera roll cuz you’re gonna take so many pictures of this heartbreaker. Tonga will need some basic training and a nice consistent walk/ exercise/play routine.

COURTESY POST for Callies Canine Rescue This beautiful 2 year-old girl is Gizelle #a2148932 We rescued her from the Harbour shelter recently after she’s been there for half a year. She was listed as major medical due to unspecified neck and spine issues. We were told she would need help walking with a harness… some days were so bad that she could not stand up in her kennel… and she was very sensitive to touch around her head.… Her amazing foster angel Momma got her immediately to her veterinarian once we got her out of the shelter. Turns out after x-rays there are no major neck or spine issues… This girl has gone with SEVERE ear infections in both ears for who knows how long. They were so bad that she needed to be put under anesthesia to clean them. Now I’m not one for shame… But this is literally the fourth dog over the past two weeks I’ve gotten out of the shelter with misinformation or not treated properly. There’s a reason why people weren’t adopting her or other rescue stepping up because they were afraid of the sheer costs it would be probably for her medically. So this is one of the cases where it’s not as bad as they made it… Was something very treatable and she didn’t need to suffer for as long as she did. Whereas some of these other cases recently, they aren’t properly diagnosing the severity of the medical issues. She’s a dream girl! Absolutely stunning. Everyone loves her!!! She’s getting along with other dogs. She’s great in the house and potty trained. Luna just loves having dog friends around. Luna's original owner re-homed her to a house where she was left outside by herself to stew in her boredom. Luna decided she didn't love being there so she would run away for days until she was found. after several times of running away she was surrendered to Rock N Pawz rescue. Luna quickly bonded with some of the other dogs and just loves having playmates. She loves talking and getting you to play with her. She's extremely intelligent and picks things up quickly.
