Story
Meet HIROMI HIROMI was turned into the shelter as a found dog. No one ever came for her. Despite being failed by her former person, this sweetheart remains devoted and loving. After Hiromi’s arrival she was initially timid and lacked confidence. She can still be somewhat apprehensive but she has opened up and trusted us enough to let her true colors shine! She is silly, sensitive, refreshingly affectionate, playful and a free spirit. Her absolute favorite past time is to be showered with love and give it in return. Her gentle, resilient nature is inspiring but not surprising. Hiromi is very communicative by expressing a multitude of emotions with her eyes. Her body language is inviting and she understands how to use it to subtly let you know what’s on her mind. She is also an Akita so stubbornness is part of her DNA! Her ideal adopter should have a calm home environment and be able to provide consistency and a daily routine, where she can continue to expand her horizons. Hiromi gets excited for her daily walks and is a great traveler! She seems non-reactive to other dogs and might do well with a mellow male dog. She is approx 4 yrs old and weighs 57 lbs. She is also crate and house trained. She is ready to pledge her love and devotion! Are you?! Story
Meet TOBI We don't know much about Tobi's past, but his future is very bright. He is a big boy with a heart the size to match. He is a gentle giant with a gregarious, carefree attitude and is eager to learn and experience the world. He is game for adventure and deserves to have that special someone to accompany him in life. Tobi is playful and has a welcoming aura about him. He also has an unabashed, confident side to him. He's just not sure how he ended up here, and we're making sure he never has to wonder that ever again. He is best as an only dog and someone with previous Akita experience is best. Tobi is approximately 5 yrs old, and due to his size should be on a good quality joint supplement. He's only been with us a short time, so will need to gain a few pounds to look his best, but he's already on his way to showing us his beautiful soul. Story
Meet Emi Emi’s sleek, brindle coat is a thing of beauty and so magnificent to behold. Engaging, charismatic, gregarious, and spirited are the first things you sense about her from the moment she enters a room. Emi exudes a brand of joy that makes her impossible to resist! Not until you witness her graceful elegance and see a bit of frost around her muzzle, do you realize she is a senior beauty with an abundance of life experiences to share. She’s 8 yrs old and has found herself homeless, but she’s seen enough in life to know there’s still a wonderous journey ahead. She is a lover of people and she’d much rather be enjoying a fun adventure with you by her side on interesting walks or trips to the beach, than be left at home alone. She needs to be an only dog and is not suitable with cats. She is approximately 60 lbs. and seems unaware she has some arthritis and hip dysplasia. But as you can see, she enjoys playing with her toys and doing tricks for treats. Her healthy curiosity keeps her engaged in life’s adventures, though she also loves her beauty naps. Please don’t let her age deter you from considering giving her a home. Her heart is overflowing with love. If you are interested in Emi, please complete our adoption application in the link below. Story
I got shark from family friends whose dogs had puppies on june 1st 2024. Shark is very active loving friendly soft innocent puppy. He has anxiety around aggressive dogs because he was attacked by a cane corse at a dog park on day and ever since he won’t want to be near dogs that seem mean. He’s the sweetest dog and I love him so much but I don’t have time in my schedule to train him properly or give him the care that he deserves he’s a very bright smart happy dog with an adventurous spirit. He has fomo and loves the beach and the cold since he’s has husky in him and I would love to find a home perfect for his needs to play and learn new things as well as being active in nature. Thank you

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAngelica is a charming puppy with an adorable blend of breeds, possibly including Corgi, Shepherd, Cattle Dog, and maybe even a touch of Akita (foster family’s best guesses!). She has the cutest lopsided ears—one up and one down—that add to her unique personality. This playful girl thrives on praise, making training sessions both fun and rewarding. She already knows “sit” and is working on other commands! Angelica is great with kids and loves other dogs, making her an ideal addition to a family with pets. She adores water and will happily jump in the shower with you—baths are definitely her favorite! Plus, she has a sweet habit of following you around like a shadow, always wanting to be by your side. When you talk to her, she’ll cock her head, soaking in every word.  Working on crate training and is still in the stage of putting everything in her mouth, so she will need positive reinforcement/rewards based training to guide her. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, active puppy, Angelica is the perfect match! Click here to learn how to adopt, and submit your adoption questionnaire.December 13, 2024, 8:03 pm

Story
Shaggy is a Siberian Husky, American Staffordshire Terrier mix! 🐶A happy and friendly boy, he is sociable with dogs and people (adults). In foster, Shaggy shared a home with an older dog.At a high energy level typical of a growing puppy, Shaggy is active, enjoys short walks and toys. To help Shaggy expend his energy and minimize chewing behavior, he would do best in a home with another high energy dog or active puppy. 🐕Independent and curious, Shaggy is currently trainable with basic commands. He is learning to respond to "no" and being redirected to other activities.Shaggy knows how to walk in a harness on a leash, and is also house trained.Won't you open your heart and home to this sweet ball of energy?
