Meet Ombre, an 11-month-old Akita who radiates an easygoing and sweet demeanor that captivates everyone she meets! Despite her young age, Ombre displays a maturity beyond her years, approaching life with a calm and gentle disposition. Ombre came to our shelter as a stray about 6 weeks ago. She was found with her sidekick companion, Margarita, a sweet, timid, 11-pound, 3-year old Chihuahua.  Ombre is an exuberant, playful and very loving dog. She is very gentle with Margarita, so they are housed together and often hang out in the yards together. While Ombre thoroughly enjoys playing and interacting with others; she would thrive equally well in a home with or without another dog, thanks to her independent nature and friendly demeanor. Ombre's love for playtime is infectious, and her charming personality makes her a wonderful addition to any loving household ready to provide her with the care and companionship she deserves. Ombre has a beautiful coat, weighs about 40 pounds, seems quite potty trained and also very quiet in her kennel that she shares with little Margarita. Ombre is good with every dog and every person she has ever met; loves to play with soft toys and most of all, has discovered the joy of a kiddie pool in the heat! At the shelter, we often let them play together, but also separate them out. I have been taking Margarita home to play with my littles so she can build her confidence and come into her own. She is a delightful little girl (whose cherry eye will be fixed when she is spayed soon). Both Ombre and Margarita are vaccinated and will be chipped and spayed  We would love to get sweet Ombre and Margarita out of the shelter so they can continue to grow and thrive in a home. Hi there! My name is Shadow Nose and I’ve been waiting patiently for the perfect person to bring me into their family. Could that be you?

I’m a 4-year-old, 53-pound, Akita German Shepherd Mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! My foster family says I’m incredibly sweet, affectionate, and well-adjusted with just the right amount of energy to keep you smiling every day.

🩺 My Special Needs
I have been diagnosed with mega-esophagus, a condition that means my throat is oversized and I need a little extra care when eating. But don’t worry — it’s super manageable! My foster family and veterinarian have created an easy routine that keeps me happy and healthy. I even have a fancy custom feeding station (built just for me!) where I eat and drink comfortably.

I’d love to be your one-and-only furry friend, but with the right introductions, I might get along with another dog. I have "bossy" tendencies! Jabulani, lovingly nicknamed Jabu for short, is a sweet girl looking to affectionately nuzzle her way into your heart! This precious girl absolutely adores being in the company of her human companions. She greets everyone she meets with a curly tailed tail wag and lots of slobbery kisses. She also makes sure to show off her agile spins and funny vocalizations to wow her new friends. She is an energetic and active pup that would love to go for long walks, spend some time playing fetch in the yard, training using positive reinforcement methods, and enjoying a nice food puzzle. Jabu is also a gold medalist at tug-of-war and an expert in squeeky toys. Jabu really loves her people and can be heard whining and complaining when left at home alone. When Ducky first arrived he was very timid, but allowed staff to vaccinate him and gently walk him to kennel. Slowly, but surely, he started warming up to everryone and showing his personality. XL DUCK A050126 (“Ducky”), is a 4-year old, neutered, male Akita/German Shepherd mix in need of a new home. When Ducky first arrived he was very timid, but allowed staff to vaccinate him and gently walk him to kennel. Slowly, but surely, he started warming up to everryone and showing his personality. While in our long-term care, Ducky has made many dog friends and has proven himself to be a playgroup ambassador, even attending a dog birthday party for one of our shelter pups! He is the epitome of “shy but sweet” and has won over the hearts of both staff and volunteers. There truly is no end to his good qualities: Ducky is a friend to other shelter dogs, an affectionate leaner once he trusts you, walks well on the leash, and has a wonderful balanced energy – ready to play with dog friends or keep you company in the yard. Ducky is already neutered and current on vaccines and weighs about 60 to 65 pounds. A true “country mouse”, this sweetheart is waiting for his forever home. Meet Kodi! Kodi is a healthy, 8-year-old, 60-pound Siberian Husky. Kodi loves to go on walks, especially going to the beach. He’s great with kids, friendly with all dogs big & small. Loves to fetch and has excellent recall at off-leash parks. Potty trained, food motivated, and quiet (no barking or howling), Kodi walks well on a leash. Knows basic commands. He loves staying close to his people, but can be comfortable being by himself without separation anxiety. Kodi is the perfect turnkey husky. Loyal and comforting, he’s the kind of dog who will quietly stay by your side, making him an excellent companion. He walks well on a leash and enjoys getting his legs wet at the beach, showing off his adventurous spirit. Despite his independence, he’s also a big fan of snuggling next to your feet, offering both comfort and affection. With his stoic, regal demeanor, Alvie is an old soul who will become your loyal shadow once he trusts you. He takes treats with gentle care and his favorite snack is string cheese. Alvie is smart and responds well to guidance & structures. While he doesn’t require a husky-savvy owner, he would thrive best with someone experienced in handling dogs. From Alvie's foster dad: Alvie loves running or biking with his human. He comes back with a happy face every time. He is very responsive to obedience training. He knows sit, wait, heel, here, leave it and no. He prefers to meet other dogs slowly. Once he trusts you, he will be your ride or die. He has very good leash manners once awhile he just needs some "reminders". Alvie is crate and muzzle trained, with no signs of separation anxiety. However, due to his high prey drive, we don’t recommend placing him in a home with small animals. If you’re looking for a loyal, adventurous, and loving companion, Alvie is your perfect match.
