Hi! My name is Tuna I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I am a 3 year old female Akita mix who is ready for my forever home. I'm a very sweet girl who loves meeting everyone, I also play well with other dogs as long as our energies match. I am house trained and enjoy going on trips to the beach or hiking! I'm a calm girl who knows when I need to settle, but also have a spunky side where I love going on adventures with you! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

HIRO is a friendly, affectionate, and strikingly handsome 5 year old male Japanese/American Akita. He was surrendered to rescue after his family had to relocate to Korea and were unable to take Hiro with them. Hiro is a medium-large sized Akita, and weighs about 80lbs. He has a beautiful, soft, shiny blond coat and the sweetest, brightest dark brown eyes.  Hiro was very socialized as a young Akita, and has an easy-going temperament. My name is Nebula, I was impounded in the field and brought in by our Humane Officers for a fresh start. I am a playful girl that has a lot of spunk! I can be selective with my furry furiends and would do best with a dog that would let me take charge or one that would give me my space as some dogs can be very overwhelming for me. I had a dog friend, but he has found his furever home so now it is my turn. I would also be okay with being the only dog in the household. The staff don’t know how I would be with cats but they think I’d probably do best without them. I am fun-loving and always up for an adventure. I like to go places, but I am good with relaxing at home as long as we get to play with tough toys because I do like to chew on my toys. One look into my stunning eyes will be enough to take me home!
