Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
I adopted Seven at approximately 4 months. He had been tied by the neck and had deep cuts on his neck from it. When I got him, he was already neutered and microchipped. He is a great and friendly dog. He is very smart and knows how to open doors and drawers, but he's never been destructive while doing so. He is not a barker. He also have never growled at a person or nipped at one. The reason that I need to find him a new home is that I have returned to full time work. He needs more interaction than I can provide and that has led him to climbing out of his fence. Once he realized that he could do that, I installed an electric fence. When he sees something that he's super curious about, he will climb the fence with his collar on. He doesn't do it every day, but at least twice a week. He just needs more room or companion dogs that help him be content in his own yard.

Story
Hello! I’m Astro! Now when you look at my picture I bet you can see what a really cute dog I am! Did you happen to notice my big fluffy coat? What about my sweet and expressive face? After you meet me you will also see what a lovely personality I have!! I was picked up by one of the nice deputies of Animal Control. I waited my allotted time and I am now ready for adoption. I am a two-year-old Akita mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One little problem did show up on my health check up. I am heartworm positive. I am not worried! The shelter already has my first treatment set up! So I am ready to meet my new family. If you would like to donate to my treatment I know the shelter would sure appreciate the help!
