Meet Princess Peach. She was surrendered to TGPR by her owner. She could not get along with the neighbors chickens. Now she's with TGPR, up to date on her vaccines and spayed. She is an energetic silly girl who loves to play ball. She loves her toys and chew bones like most good puppies, Peach is kennel trained, potty trained, definitely loves car rides with her people. She is a curious puppy who likes to explore her outside world listening for crickets and bugs, so sometimes she needs a reminder to make her business outside. She is cat friendly and would love a home with a cat sibling. She is your no fuss, no hassle ready to go pup. She is mixed GP with a shorter coat and is looking for her family to call her own. Story
His foster named hm Jelly Roll for the same reason some giants are named Tiny- you cannot believe how skinny this poor, sweet guy is. But if you know us, he'll be back in shape in no time and living up to his name! I know we're a Pyr rescue, but I can never say no to a big, long-legged, awkward, goofball of an Akbash. The big galoot! He is absolutely the sweetest dog in the universe.

Story
Casper was found on the side of the road and taken home by a kind finder who cared for him, neutered and vaccinated and got him on heart worm prevention. He's likely mixed with Akbash another wonderful livestock guardian breeds. He's been cared for but still needs house manners and leash training but will go to his crate on demand and comes when called for. He's wonderful with kids of all ages and other dogs, not yet tested with cats. With some structure, this dog could be your bestest boy with all the great characteristics of the breed, calm, friendly, watchful, loyal, well balanced. If you're looking for a sweet, mature 3 year old, he can be your guy! More photos coming soon!

Story
Ralphie is fostered in the DFW area and is developing into a happy pup, I mean, look at that smile. He loves playing and learning from his foster siblings. As a young pup, he was found scavenging for food with his head stuck in a cereal box. His malnourishment contributed to a condition called rickets in his back legs. The vet assured us that this condition improves with good nutrition and exercise. Apply today to meet Ralphie TGPR.org

Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person, and has the typical Pyr attitude. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 102 pounds. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though would probably do best as an only dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! If interested in Charlie, please fill out our foster or adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Story
This is Oliver - or sometimes Ollie - and he has made a miraculous transformation since being rescued from the side of I-45. His once coarse hair is now a beautifully soft golden fur. At a year old, he is full grown and is weighing in at about 50 lbs. One of Oliver’s siblings was DNA tested and came back 67% Great Pyrenees and 33% German Shepherd so we’re going with that - he’s got a curl to his tail but no double dew claws. Ollie is simply a love bug who wants nothing more than to be loved. See more pics at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt

This knucklehead is Wyatt, Oliver’s brother. He’s silly, playful, and lovable. He has a luxurious golden coat that I could just bury my fingers in all day.Like his brother, we think he is 67% Great Pyrenees and 33% German Shepherd, he’s a touch smaller in stature than Ollie, but he LOVES to eat so also weighs about 50 lbs.Although Wyatt is 10 months old and almost full grown, he is still super playful and Ioves to chase and rumble.See more pics at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt

Story
Meet our adorably sweet Zenna, a 6.5-7.5 month-old Great Pyrenees X Australian Shepherd mix. Fully embracing her PPPS ("Perpetual Pyrenees Puppy Syndrome"), Zenna is less than half the size of a purebred Pyrenees pup and could easily be mistaken for one half her age. She's got the build, look and floof of any Pyrenees though - a true "Pocket Pyr" if ever there was one. And she will likely only weigh between 55-65 lbs when fully grown. So she's well suited for a suburban home or even apartment living with her size and behavioral qualities.Zenna first came to the attention of Midlothian Animal Services. They were dispatched to a report of a possible abandoned puppy on a country road. However Zenna bolted when they first arrived, disappearing into a field of hackberry trees. It was a few hours later that the ACO responded to a call about a stray puppy on another property - it was Zenna again and this time she had been attacked by that property owner’s dogs. When the ACO arrived, an extremely frightened Zenna was stuck in a stand of cacti. The ACO was able to safely extricate her and take her to the safety of the shelter. It was no wonder that after such traumatic beginnings, Zenna was at the start scared, skittish and resisted handling. But with the caring shelter staff and now her experienced foster, she has since blossomed into an adorably friendly pup albeit still a bit reserved at times. Fully vetted and vaccinated, Zenna loves other dogs, adores her people (will need time to warm up to the activity of children), well behaved when introduced to a cat, is housebroken, crate trained, easily handled and groomed, travels in a car like a pro and walks comfortably on leash. She loves toys but things to chew on make her happiest, and she keeps herself well entertained with a Benebone or no-hide chew. Zenna will soon be available in the NE through Big Dog Rescue Project but while she's still in Texas local applications will be accepted by rescue partner Flying B Animal Rescue & Sanctuary.
