Story
Hyper active puppy who loves to run, play and be active. great at playing fetch and tug of war with his toys. He’s a fun dog who loves to chill as well and will pick anywhere that’s comfortable to lay down and take a quick nap, great with kids and elders, loves cuddling and chasing/being chased. The reason i am rehoming him is because i recently had to relocate and am not able to give him the proper care he needs as i already work two jobs and dont have anyone else available for him. He needs attention and i cant give that to him right now with our economy. That’s why he has no fee and you will receive all of his toys and crates and anything else free of charge.

Gus is a handsome 1 year old Anatolian shepherd mix who came to the shelter with his brother Grizzly after their owners had to surrender them. They were raised on a farm and spent their lives guarding livestock. Their owners new fiancé was found to be allergic to the dogs so they had to be surrendered. They did not live inside at any point but are young and quick to learn! They both know sit and walk well on a leash. It is noted that they should not be in a home with cats. These boys do not have to be adopted together, but they both desperately deserve a loving forever home! You can meet Gus in kennel 79, his ID is 6141. He is up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, and will be microchipped & neutered upon adoption. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only until further notice, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays.
