Story
Meet Lucas. Lucas is a 6 year old, Airedale terrier mix. He’s good with dogs and cats and older kids. He loves to go for walks. Lucas is a sweet boy who when he falls in love with you, he will love you forever! He loves to cuddle and play with toys. He’s got some energy and will need walks or a friend to play with. Lucas has trouble making friends with dogs bigger than him but he still loves to make friends to play with. Lucas might be an Oklahoma but storms are a little too scary for him and he'll need his person with him. Lucas is a quirky sweet boy who would love to be a part of your family. Lucas just wants a person to love and love him!
Interested in becoming a forever home for Lucas? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application.
If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws .
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Lucas.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Lucas the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
