Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 2-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz has some loss of hair and will be taking a NexGard. This will take care of it and she will be as good as new in a few weeks. Her owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. This goofy, gentle giant has an endearing personality and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. Logan has a moderate energy level, loves to play fetch (he's still perfecting the art of returning the ball), and absolutely adores his humans. His favorite trick? A happy, clumsy bounce when you come home—no jumping on you, just pure joy. Logan is mostly potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained. He rides well in the car and is eager to please. He’s intelligent, even-tempered, and super friendly—he assumes every human is his new best friend! Despite being heartworm positive, Logan is on track for treatment and will be as good as new soon. They arrive in Minnesota on 12/14/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5pm and 9pm. One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease. Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) program. Click here to learn more about this program. They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start’s partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments. Treatment will consist of three injections: the first will be roughly 30 days after they enter rescue. Then, the second and third injections will happen 30 days after the first. At just 9 weeks old, I’m a tiny bundle of love and energy, weighing in at only 6 pounds (and growing every day!). I am the biggest kisser of all the puppies – I love a good smooch and cuddles! I’m a Wheaton puppy, and while I’m still figuring out this big, exciting world, I already know how much I love cuddles, playtime, and making friends. I’m a smart little puppy with a big heart. My favorite things? Playing with balls and chewy toys—they’re so much fun! I also love romping around with my littermates and meeting kids of all ages. I’m gentle and sweet, but because I’m so small, I’d do best with doggy friends who are careful of my size. Right now, I’m working on all the important puppy skills like exploring new sounds, sights, and experiences. I’ll need some help learning leash training, potty training, and crate training in my forever home, but I’m eager to learn, and I bet I’ll love puppy school! Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
